If you’re passionate about shaping the future of on-device vision processing, this is where your work will reach billions of users.\nWe’re looking for a Computer Vision Systems Engineer who thrives at the intersection of algorithms, hardware, and real-world productization. You’ll help define and deliver the Snapdragon Vision API based features, enabling developers and OEMs to build breakthrough CV experiences on cutting-edge hardware. Experience with CV hardware accelerators and OpenCV is a plus.\nKey Responsibilities \nLead the design and implementation of computer vision features and on-device prototyping using the Snapdragon Vision API solution. \nSupport engineering teams in building, integrating, and deploying CV APIs for commercial products. \nDevelop clear and thorough technical documentation, diagrams, and sample materials that showcase the capabilities of the Snapdragon Vision API for end-application developers. \nEnsure deliverables meet schedule expectations and KPI targets, proactively identifying and addressing risks. \nCollaborate closely with system, software, hardware, and product teams throughout CV feature prototyping and commercialization. \nContribute effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with distributed cross-functional teams. \nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.\n\nRequired Skills\n\nStrong understanding of CV concepts, algorithms, and deep-learning-based vision pipelines, with a track record of delivering commercial CV solutions. \n3-5 years of hands-on experience developing computer vision applications or libraries. \nProficiency in designing and implementing products using vision APIs, following established standards and best practices. \nStrong coding and debugging skills in C/C++ and Python, with the ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate CV features on device. \n\nPreferred Skills\nMaster’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. \nExperience with CV and ML libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch (TorchVision), including image processing and deep learning workflows. \nWorking knowledge of embedded systems and architectures, especially hardware CV accelerators. \nExperience producing high-quality API documentation and technical materials. \nFamiliarity with commercial software development practices and SDLC methodologies. \nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
