Target products include: high performance CPUs and GPUs, ultra-low power IoT devices, and wearables such as smart glasses, smart watches and earbuds.\nAbout the Role\nPlease note this role requires you to work onsite 5 days per week in our Cambridge office.\nAs a CPU Verification Engineer, Senior you will work with Chip Architects to validate the concepts of CPU and SOC level micro-architectures. You will work on a selected part of the CPU Design Verification to ensure that it functions to the standards of being launch ready for the end product.\nWhat will you be doing?\nWorking with CPU and SOC Architects to understand the concepts and high-level system requirements.\n\nDeveloping detailed Test and Coverage plans based on the Architecture and Micro-architecture.\n\nDeveloping Verification Methodology, ensuring scalability and portability across environments.\n\nDeveloping Verification environment, including all the respective components such as Stimulus, Checkers, Assertions, Trackers, and Coverage.\n\nDeveloping Verification Plans and Testbenches for your functional domain.\n\nExecuting Verification Plans, including Design Bring-up, DV environment Bring-up, Regressions enabling all features under your care, and Debug of the test failures.\n\nTracking and report DV progress using a variety of metrics, including Bugs and Coverage.\n\n What are we looking for?\nDeep knowledge of Micro-Processor Verification functions and Architectures, in domains such as: Cache Coherence, Memory ordering and Consistency, Prefetching, Branch Prediction, Renaming, Speculative execution, and Address Translation/Memory Management.\n\nKnowledge of Random Instruction Sequencing (RIS) and testing a given design, at the Block/Unit-level and Subsystem/Chip-level for proving correctness.\n\nExperience in leading a small team of Verification engineers performing CPU Verification.\n\nAdvance techniques such as: Formal, Assertions, and Silicon bring up, is helpful.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of Micro-processor functions, Architectures, and Micro-architectures.\n\nExperience in writing Test plans, portable Testbenches, Transactors, and Assembly code.\n\nExperience with different Verification Methodologies and Tools such as Simulators, Coverage collection, Gate-level Simulation, Waveform viewers, and Formal Proof Tools.\n\nAbility to develop and work independently on a Block/Unit of the design.\n\nWhat's on Offer\nApart from working in an open, relaxed and collaborative space, you will enjoy:\nSalary, stock and performance related bonus\nMaternity/Paternity Leave\nEmployee stock purchase scheme\nMatching pension scheme\nEducation Assistance\nRelocation and immigration support (if needed)\nLife, Medical, Income and Travel Insurance\nSubsidised memberships for physical and mental well-being\nBicycle purchase scheme\nEmployee run clubs, including, running, football, chess, badminton + many more\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.\n*References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only.
