In this role, you will work with chip architects to conceive of the micro-architecture and help with architecture/product definition through early involvement in the product life cycle.\nRequired for this Role:\nMS degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or BS degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with +3 years of RTL experience.\nKnowledge of Verilog and/or System Verilog. Experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools.\nKnowledge of power intent and UPF format. Experience using UPF and Conformal Low Power analysis.\nKnowledge of logic design principles along with timing and power implications.\nPreferred qualifications:\nUnderstanding low power microarchitecture techniques.\nUnderstanding the physical implementation of RTL with power intent.\nUnderstanding of high-performance techniques and trade-offs in a CPU microarchitecture.\nExperience using a scripting language such as Perl or Python.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nAs a Low Power RTL design engineer, you will own or participate in the following:\nPower Architecture development and specification. From early high-level architectural exploration, through micro architectural research and arriving at a detailed specification.\nPower Intent design in UPF along with RTL ownership. Development, assessment and refinement of UPF and RTL design to match the power intent to the RTL design.\nDesign delivery. Work with multi-functional engineering team to implement and validate Power Aware design from RTL to Physical implementation.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
