As a member of the compiler team, you will:\nResearch, design, and implement different compiler optimizations to improve runtime and memory characteristics of software applications for Qualcomm hardware.\nAnalyze software requirements, consult with architecture and HW engineers, and devise compiler solutions for Qualcomm’s next generation architectures.\nAnalyze and identify system level integration issues, interface with the software development, integration and test teams.\nMinimum Qualifications\n2-5 years of academic or industrial experience in the following areas is required:\nCompiler development\nStrong C/C++ programming background\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of intermediate representations, machine independent and machine dependent optimizations, code generation and architecture specific optimizations\nKnowledge of the structure and function of compiler internals\nKnowledge of instruction sets and computer architectures: pipeline structure and hazards, cache and memory organization, etc.\nKnowledge or experience in performance analysis, root cause analysis, and profiling tools\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor's, Master’s or Ph.D., Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.\n• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
