The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interaction with globally distributed teams.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.\n1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.\nResponsibilities Shall Include the Following\nDesign, integration, and validation of embedded systems based on Qualcomm's Automotive Infotainment, ADAS, and Robotics SoCs and platforms.\nCollaborate with product owners, customers, and domain/technology experts to define requirements and implement technical solutions for customer programs.\nSupport Automotive OEMs, Tier-1s , Robotics customers, and ecosystem partners in the integration and deployment of solutions based on Qualcomm platforms.\nDebug and resolve system-level issues involving camera sensors, ISP, multimedia pipelines, synchronization, performance, stability, and software integration.\nSupport cameras bring-up, image quality tuning, multimedia integration, and performance optimization on Qualcomm platforms.\nWork closely with software, hardware, systems, and product teams to analyze, debug, and resolve customer-reported issues.\nDevelop technical documentation, integration guides, and troubleshooting materials to support customer development and deployment activities.\nMinimum Qualifications\n4+ years of experience in Embedded Systems, Automotive, Camera, Multimedia, Robotics, or related domains.\nStrong proficiency in C/C++ programming and software architecture design.\nFamiliarity with camera interfaces and protocols including MIPI CSI-2, I2C, GPIO, V4L2, GMSL, FPD-Link, and SerDes technologies.\nExperience with embedded software development, integration, system bring-up, validation, debugging, and optimization of complex embedded systems, including development in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE.\nStrong understanding of camera systems, camera architectures, Camera ISP, image processing, image quality (IQ), and video pipelines.\nExperience with camera sensor bring-up, sensor drivers, camera framework integration, and end-to-end camera software debugging.\nExperience with 3A algorithms (Auto Exposure, Auto Focus, Auto White Balance), image quality tuning, analysis, debugging, and optimization.\nStrong system-level understanding of camera and multimedia pipelines, with experience in performance analysis, latency optimization, bandwidth optimization, resource utilization analysis, and end-to-end system debugging.\nExperience with automotive camera systems, multi-camera architectures, camera synchronization, frame synchronization, video processing, and time-aligned data acquisition across heterogeneous sensing systems, including Cameras, LiDAR, Radar, IMU, and other ADAS or Robotics perception sensors.\nStrong analytical, issue triage, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong customer engagement skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.\nQuick adaptability to work with new technologies.\nAdditional / Preferred Qualifications\nWorking knowledge of operating systems such as QNX, Linux, Android, and other RTOSs.\nExperience with Android Camera Framework, Camera HAL, Media Framework, IPC Mechanisms, and Vehicle HAL interface.\nKnowledge of Linux Device Drivers, Embedded Linux, RTOS, Process & Memory Management.\nStrong skills in analyzing performance of software/hardware solutions on multi-core architectures; understanding of multi-core architecture fundamentals (core, cache, memory, bus, PCIe, etc.).\nExperience using debugging tools such as JTAG, Trace32, and oscilloscope/logic analyzer.\nExposure to Automotive, ADAS, and Robotics product development.\nExposure to Hypervisors and Virtualization.\nExperience working with Qualcomm Snapdragon Automotive, ADAS, Robotics, Camera ISP, or Multimedia software stacks.\nFamiliarity with Computer Vision, OpenCV, AI/ML frameworks, and image-processing applications for automotive and robotics systems.\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
