We work closely with teams in San Diego, Amsterdam, Beijing, Hanoi, and other global locations to deliver production-ready solutions that power next-generation devices.\nWe are looking for research interns with strong programming skills and a passion for quantization and model efficiency improvements.\nWhat You'll Do (Responsibilities)\nImplement, benchmark, and improve low-bit quantization methods (PTQ / QAT) for various AI models.\nContribute to evaluation and profiling pipelines, measuring accuracy and on-device performance (latency, throughput, memory) on Qualcomm hardware.\nPrototype and optimize efficient inference kernels and model-compression techniques for edge deployment.\nCollaborate with cross-functional and global teams to move research prototypes toward production-ready solutions.\nDocument findings clearly and present results to the team.\nMinimum Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\nProficiency in Python.\nHands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nUnderstanding of quantization techniques and model compression.\nGood software design fundamentals.\nFamiliarity with Triton kernels and CUDA programming.\nExperience profiling or optimizing models for efficient inference.\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
