This is more than a network engineering role - it's your chance to grow your career at a Fortune 500 technology leader, work with cutting-edge infrastructure at enterprise scale, and help shape a brand-new team from the ground up.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise firewall, proxy, and VPN infrastructure\nPerform firewall rule changes, policy updates, and access control modifications following established change management processes\nManage and support VPN services including site-to-site and remote access VPN configurations\nAdminister web proxy and content filtering platforms, ensuring policy compliance and service availability\nRespond to security-related network incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution\nCollaborate with the India operations team on shift handoffs, shared ticket queues, and operational continuity\nWork with the architecture and design team in San Diego to implement approved security designs and policy standards\nMaintain accurate documentation of firewall rule sets, VPN configurations, proxy policies, and security procedures\nContribute to operational process improvement, runbook development, and automation of routine security tasks\nRequired Qualifications\n3-5 years of hands-on experience in network security operations\nStrong working knowledge of enterprise firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FTD, or equivalent)\nExperience managing web proxy and content filtering solutions \nExperience configuring and troubleshooting VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN)\nUnderstanding of network security fundamentals including NAT, ACLs, IDS/IPS, and segmentation\nStrong English communication skills - written and verbal - required for daily collaboration with global teams\nAbility to work on-site in Mexico City 5 days per week\nPreferred Qualifications \nIndustry certifications such as Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Cisco CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE, or CompTIA Security+\nExperience working in a global, follow-the-sun operations model\nExperience with scripting or automation for security operations (Python, Ansible)\nITIL Foundation or experience working within ITIL-based service management frameworks\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
