Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.\nMajor Job Responsibilities\nTriage and solve application and system functionality & performance issues on Qualcomm compute platforms.\nDevelop new features for power/performance improvement on Qualcomm Computer platforms.\nWork on open source projects migration to ARM architecture to improve compatibility and performance on Qualcomm compute platform.\nDrive AI-native software development lifecycle (SDLC) transformation and establish best practices across the end-to-end software lifecycle, from idea to production.\nCo-work with Chipset team for system performance projection, analysis and optimization.\nCo-work with internal tech teams, program management team and CE team to promote Windows-on-ARM ecosystem in China.\nKeep researching and learning cutting-edge technologies in the field of computing.\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical, Information Systems or related field\n1+ year of experience in embedded software with proficiency in C/C++/Python and hands-on experience in performance analysis and optimization on Windows or Android.\nUnderstand the basic knowledge of OS Kernel (such as Windows, Linux Kernel, embedded RTOS kernel, etc.)\nUnderstand system hardware/software architecture on Compute platforms.\nStrong knowledge of AI-assisted reliability engineering, root cause analysis, and failure investigation methodologies.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliar with ARM architecture and experienced in ARM based low-level SW development\nExperienced in Windows kernel, application/driver development and debugging.\nExperienced in analyzing and optimizing Windows power and performance using ETW logs, performance tools (Windows performance toolkit, Xperf, etc).\nExperienced with AI agents, workflow automation, and AI-native development practices.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and apply emerging technologies.\nGood communication capabilities in both Chinese and English, fluent spoken English is preferred.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
