This role is central to adapting and maturing the Quality Management System as the DC business pursues ISO 9001 certification and expands into increasingly rigorous customer quality expectations.\nThis role is a Staff Quality Systems leader responsible for ensuring scalable, standards-driven quality governance across complex electronic products/platforms. The position partners closely with engineering, program management, operations, and executive leadership to embed quality into the product lifecycle, enable expansion into new Datacenter market segments, and evolve the Quality Management System (QMS) to support long-term business growth\nThe role requires strong manufacturing electronics fundamentals, broad quality systems expertise, and the ability to influence a highly matrixed organization.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities\nLead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a QMS supporting mission-critical data center hardware systems utilizing structured methodologies (PDCA, Lean, Six Sigma).\nTranslate contractual obligations and quality specifications into internal quality flow-downs to design, manufacturing, and supplier teams\nLead engineering audits/assessments across DC products, including documentation, design reviews, and stage-gate quality gates aligned with PRD/silicon development flows aligned with ISO-based, customer-specific requirements.\nTranslate Hyperscaler-specific contractual quality obligations (including customer quality agreements, warranty requirements, and epidemic defect triggers) into internal quality controls and supplier flow-downs.\nAnalyze quality data, assessment outcomes, and customer signals to identify enterprise level risks and trends; translate insights into improvements leveraging CAPA and Lessons Learned. \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with engineering and business teams to drive alignment on quality objectives, risk posture, and continuous improvement priorities. \nExecute supporting product traceability programs and lot/component genealogy requirements in complex hardware supply chains.\nEstablish and maintain key metrics to drive continual improvement\nLevel of Responsibility\nOperate independently with minimal supervision. \nProvide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other quality team members. \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (electronics background required). \nDemonstrated experience planning and executing ISO 9001-based internal and external audits; working knowledge of IPC-A-610 for electronic hardware acceptability standards in server/data center hardware.\nExperience supporting product traceability programs and lot/component genealogy requirements in complex hardware supply chains.\nFamiliarity with Hyperscaler quality program requirements (e.g., OCP - Open Compute Project - qualification standards, customer-specific quality agreements, and product qualification workflows for server/rack platforms.\nFive plus years of experience in quality systems, supporting complex electronic products. \nStrong understanding of product development lifecycles, validation, and release processes. \nProven ability to lead structured problem solving and root cause analysis for systemic issues.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with PLM, ERP, MES systems.\nAwareness of product environmental governance requirements\nBlack Belt/Six Sigma certification. \nASQ (e.g., CQE or CRE) or ISO Lead Auditor certification or equivalent. \n Minimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Supplier Quality Assurance experience (e.g., quality analysis, audit) or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Supplier Quality Assurance experience (e.g., quality analysis, audit) or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Supplier Quality Assurance experience (e.g., quality analysis, audit) or related work experience.\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
