Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.\n3+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n• 3+ years of experience with debugging techniques.\n Preferred Qualifications:\nMaster's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.\n10+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.\n2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Director and above).\nExperience in a customer-facing role.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\nLeverages advanced Software Application knowledge to provide critical technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, customer training, product demonstrations, commercialization, customization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products.\nCollaborates with cross-functional teams and customer personnel to identify complex customer problems, debug complex issues in customer design software systems, and recommend innovative solutions.\nDrives critical system architecture and feature-specific customizations tailored for customer requirements from proof of concept to final product commercial launches.\nAssesses potential application of company products, prepares detailed product specifications, disseminates highly technical information on specific software areas, and/or troubleshoots highly complex issues regarding software tools and products.\nWrites highly complex product technical documentation, application notes, and FAQs; reviews technical documentation for junior engineers.\nLevel of Responsibility:\nWorks independently with minimal supervision.\nProvides supervision/guidance to other team members.\nDecision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.\nRequires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information.
