This role focuses on managing programs based on Android devices using Multimedia technologies (GPU, Gaming, Video, Display) and SoC/system software . The Program Manager will lead efforts in scoping, planning and managing the execution of Software deliverables across technologies, SoC platforms, and programs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nBuild strong technical and program understanding to develop key insights and influence.\nDrive and deliver overall program alignment and execution across multiple technologies.\nUnderstand requirements priority and drive scoping and planning, including interdependencies, staffing constraints, and schedule optimization across multiple tech teams.\nPartner with Product Management and Engineering to establish clear Plan of Records commitments and enable prioritization.\nEstablish rigorous execution discipline and communication processes, including risk management, mitigation, tracking, schedule trends vs. baseline, recovery actions, and executive reporting.\nDevelop program indicators to manage program health, including quality and timelines.\nDevelop and establish strong processes that streamline the development cycle and integrate multiple plans, dependencies, and deliverables effectively.\nManage stakeholder expectations, channel requirements to respective development teams, and drive consensus on development schedules, plans, and processes.\nUse verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information to multiple audiences, requiring strong negotiation and alignment skills.\nWork independently with little supervision.\nSkills and Experience:\n5 to 10 years of experience in a combination of technical product development and program management in the SoC /embedded industry.\nStrong technical understanding of high-level OS platform particularly window platform, multimedia technology, application processor SoC drivers, and peripherals.\nStrong working knowledge of software development principles at the SoC / embedded industry.\nExperience with multiple technology development and end-to-end product integration.\nExperience managing products through the entire development life cycle, including risk management.\nExperience in development or management of Handset /Mobile or PC Gaming, gaming power/performance tuning, game engines and gaming ISV ecosystem, embedded systems software is highly desirable.\nStrong ability to partner with multiple technology teams across various organizations to execute and manage the\n Minimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.\n*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.\nPMP Certification.\n7+ years of Program Management or related work experience.\n5+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).\n2+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.\n2+ years of experience with program management tools such as dashboards, Gantt charts, etc.\nThis is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA and is expected to comply with the company's onsite work policy.\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
