Qualcomm Software Test Engineers collaborate across various engineering teams and functions to design and implement test plans.\n Minimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.\n• 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).\nResponsibilities:\nSupport testing efforts for XR software stack and adjacent technologies such as game/3D app development kits (Unity 3D, Unreal Engine), connectivity (USB, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E), and multimedia technologies (Video, Camera, Graphics, Audio, Display).\nWrite and execute test cases.\nDevelop test applications on Android, Linux, and Windows platforms.\nDevelop automation scripts using Python, C, and C++.\nEvaluate technologies, systems, and devices through testing, logging, and analysis.\nCreate test environments using software and hardware tools.\nDevelop test procedures, execute tests, and isolate issues.\nBuild automation systems for test execution and result parsing.\nDevelop application and test content to exercise new features.\nStudy user experience and contribute to improving customer experience on Qualcomm multimedia solutions across ARM-based chipset products.\nMaintain a strong understanding of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and multimedia technologies, including Graphics, Video, and Camera.\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperience testing applications on Windows, Linux, and Android platforms.\nStrong knowledge of Windows and Linux OS concepts and tools, including batch scripting and Linux commands.\nExpertise in C, C++, and Python programming.\nHands-on experience with AR/VR technologies, including: 6DOF Tracking OpenXR OpenVR WebXR\nOutstanding problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work from the Qualcomm Bangalore office.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience developing 3D applications or games using Unity and Unreal Engine.\nKnowledge of video technologies, including video encoding and decoding techniques.\nExperience in data analysis, automation, and Python scripting.\nUnderstanding of image processing and computer graphics pipelines and architecture.\nExposure to AI and Machine Learning technologies.\nKnowledge of wireless transmission systems for video and gaming applications, including: IEEE 802.11ad/ay IEEE 802.11ac/ax\nFamiliarity with networking technologies related to wireless connectivity.\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
