The role will provide technical leadership for the design, development, integration, optimization, and commercialization of display driver software for Windows-based Snapdragon platforms. The successful candidate will combine strong systems and display-domain expertise with hands-on execution, project leadership, mentoring, and effective cross-functional collaboration.\nWhat You Will Do\nOwn moderately complex display-driver features or projects from requirements and architecture through implementation, validation, bring-up, and product delivery.\nLead root-cause analysis of complex display issues across software, firmware, operating-system, and hardware boundaries; integrate and verify evidence from traces, logs, register dumps, and experiments.\nDrive display bring-up and stabilization on new Snapdragon platforms, including pre-silicon readiness, board bring-up, feature enablement, performance tuning, and commercialization support.\nCollaborate with hardware, firmware, graphics, power, security, validation, system, and customer-engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.\nAnticipate technical risks, communicate status and options clearly, and navigate ambiguity while meeting quality and schedule commitments.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.\n6+ years of relevant software engineering experience in embedded systems, device drivers, graphics/display, multimedia, or system software.\nStrong programming and debugging skills in C, with a solid understanding of data structures, concurrency, memory management, synchronization, and operating-system fundamentals.\nHands-on experience developing or debugging kernel-mode or low-level device drivers on Windows, Linux, or another modern operating system.\nExperience debugging software on ARM-based SoCs or comparable embedded platforms using logs, traces, crash dumps, JTAG or hardware debuggers, and systematic fault isolation.\n Minimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.\n• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM), DirectX graphics infrastructure, Windows kernel concepts, WinDbg, ETW/WPP tracing, or Windows Hardware Lab Kit workflows.\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
