In this role, you will drive architecture and feature definition in key server technologies including Security, Reliability/Availability/Serviceability (RAS), and Virtualization. You will work across hardware, firmware, software, systems, and product teams to develop scalable solutions for AI server and rack deployments.\nThe ideal candidate has deep expertise in one or more datacenter architecture domains and a strong understanding of server SoC design, deployment requirements, and industry trends. You will help shape architectural decisions, evaluate customer requirements, influence product roadmaps, and drive implementation of critical datacenter capabilities across Qualcomm's AI infrastructure portfolio.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.\nResponsibilities\nUnderstand trends in datacenter security, RAS and virtualization through customer and ODM engagements\nWork with customers to determine HW and SW requirements\nAnalysis of the current AI server deployments in different datacenters\nArchitect enhancements required for deployment of next-generation AI products\nDesign the SOC architecture for at leastone or moreof the following areas:\n1. RAS\nDefine RAS architecture for server SoCs, accelerator platforms, and AI infrastructure deployments.\nDevelop error detection, containment, recovery, telemetry, and serviceability mechanisms.\nDrive architectural solutions that improve reliability and operational availability at system scale.\nCollaborate with firmware and software teams on fault management and recovery strategies.\n2. Virtualization\nDefine virtualization architecture supporting multi-tenant AI infrastructure deployments.\nDrive requirements for virtual machines, device virtualization, resource partitioning, and workload isolation.\nDevelop scalable solutions that enable secure and efficient utilization of datacenter resources.\nEvaluate industry virtualization technologies and standards.\n3. Security\nDefine security architecture for next-generation server SoCs and AI infrastructure products.\nDrive implementation of confidential computing and trusted execution technologies.\nAnalyze emerging security threats and develop architectural mitigations.\nCollaborate with ecosystem partners to align security solutions with industry standards.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.\n8+ years of experience in HW Design, testing, and commercialization experience.\n3+ years of experience of working in datacenter related products - servers, accelerators etc.\nIn-depth knowledge of datacenter - security, RAS, virtualization, telemetry, power, cooling, lifecycle, deployments etc.\nGood knowledge of scale-up and scale-out architectures.\nWillingness to work in a high-caliber international/multi-site team\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience and knowledge of Server SOC security specifically in the area of Confidential Compute\nParticipation in OCP Security Forum and Confidential Compute Forum is a plus\nExperience and knowledge in defining RAS infrastructure at the Server SoC level\nExperience and knowledge of PCIe protocol spanning SRIOV, SIOV, IDE, TDISP etc.\nGood knowledge of server SOC architectures focusing on security, RAS and virtualization\nGood knowledge of Ethernet protocols with emphasis on error recovery and virtualization\nAbility to work with PdM (Product Marketing) and datacenter customers to define requirements covering security, RAS and virtualization etc\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
