Collaborate with other impacting technology areas such as HLOS, FW, BMC, Platform, SoC and Oryon CPU.\nPrinciple Requirements and Responsibilities:\nDevelop, define, and execute plans for 1 or more software/firmware teams:\nDrive requirements scoping, analysis, and planning including interdependencies, staffing constraints, and schedule optimization across multiple tech teams and customers using Agile best practices.\nEstablish a clear Plan of Record commitment and drive prioritization.\nApply consistency and best practices through program initiation, planning, execution, and closing phases, enabling business outcomes and benefits tracking.\nCollaborate with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop program goals, set the prioritization of deliverables, discuss involvement of business processes (e.g., program change management, communication), and drive decisions necessary for on-time delivery.\nManage program health and execution:\nProven technical understanding of SW deliverables and risk management/risk mitigation.\nAbility to establish rigorous execution discipline, Agile best practices, and communication processes including: risk management, mitigation, tracking, schedule trends vs baseline, recovery actions, executive reporting & stakeholder communication.\nPartner with other program managers to develop program indicators to manage program health including quality and timelines.\nPromote program vision and objectives within the team, ensure program objectives are met or exceeded, present program vision to management, and gain buy-in from stakeholders.\nAdditional responsibilities:\nDevelop and manage the execution of the program Plan of Record (e.g., on time, on budget, within scope) for multiple medium-sized programs which include schedule and resource forecasting, stakeholder identification, method and frequency of communication, scope, and prioritization.\nEstablish key program metrics and manage teams to act outside their comfort zone to ensure program success when metrics deviate from Plan of Record.\nDrive teams to identify program issues/risks and create a risk mitigation plan for multiple medium-sized or a single complex program(s). Maintain and update the risk tracker.\nLevel of Responsibility:\nAutonomy: Work independently with minimal supervision.\nCommunication: Use verbal and written skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and large groups.\nInfluence: Have a notable impact on key organizational decisions by providing input to senior leadership.\nTask Management: Execute multi-step tasks requiring simultaneous cognitive abilities and memory management.\nInnovation: Exercise exceptional creativity to develop new ideas and innovative products/processes.\nProblem Solving: Use deductive and inductive reasoning to solve complex problems with advanced data analysis and interpretation.\nStrategic Planning: Occasionally partake in strategic planning affecting immediate operations within own area.\n Minimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.5+ years of Program Management or related work experience.\n*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.\nPMP Certification.\n10+ years of Program Management or related work experience.\n2+ years in chipset/firmware development, OR in AI development either in an engineering or program management role\n· PMP Certification and/or Agile Certification\n· 3+ years’ experience using agile program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Dashboards (Gantt charts, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
