Today, the team continues to lead innovation across 5G NR (Sub 6 and mmWave), NTN, IoT, URLLC, and early 6G research, taking ideas from concept to large-scale commercial deployment.\nThis role offers opportunities to work across modem architecture, PHY algorithm design, RF and baseband interaction, system simulations, and standardization-driven system studies.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.OR\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.\nOR\nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.\n(3-7 Years)\nMTech with up to 5 years of relevant industry experience\n\nPhD with up to 3 years of industry or applied research experience\n\nOpen to strong industry profiles and fresh PhD candidates with relevant research focus\n\nModem and PHY system design for 5G NR and beyond\nPhysical layer algorithm development for wireless transceivers\nRF and baseband interaction, including RF impairments and digital mitigation\nSystem performance analysis, modeling, and tradeoff studies\nSpectral and transmitter requirements such as CFR, ACLR, SEM, PAPR, and power control\nBeamforming concepts and multi-antenna systems\nRF and baseband filtering concepts\nContribution to system architecture studies and design documentation\nCollaboration with software, firmware, RF IC, and test teams to debug system-level issues\nResearch oriented systems work, including standardization-influenced studies\nStrong foundation in wireless communication and signal processing\nSolid understanding of communication theory, signal processing, probability and random processes, detection and estimation theory\nExposure to or hands-on experience withMatlab, C or C++ simulations\nCandidates should have either taken relevant courses or applied these concepts in real systems or research and be ready to use them in physical layer solution development\nExperience or strong interest in 5G NR, LTE, WLAN, or related wireless technologies\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
