This role involves preparing CNC programs, creating material nesting layouts, reviewing technical drawings, and working with production teams to ensure accurate, efficient manufacturing.\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on CNC programming experience, understands sheet metal fabrication, and can troubleshoot production issues while improving material usage, product quality, and machine performance.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for laser cutters, punch presses, press brakes, and related fabrication equipment.\n\nReview CAD files, engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.\n\nUse nesting software to improve material yield and reduce scrap.\n\nPrepare and verify machine-ready programs before releasing them to production.\n\nWork with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to improve part manufacturability, cycle times, and workflow.\n\nTroubleshoot programming and machine-related issues to minimize downtime and delays.\n\nMaintain program files, revisions, and technical documentation.\n\nSupport first-article inspections and production testing to confirm program accuracy.\n\nAssist with machine setup planning and tooling selection.\n\nIdentify opportunities to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase productivity.\n\nHelp train and provide technical guidance to CNC machine operators.\n\nFollow established quality standards, safety procedures, and operating policies.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n\nAt least 3 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.\n\nExperience with CNC laser cutting equipment, press brakes, punch presses, or similar fabrication machinery.\n\nProficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC programming systems.\n\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.\n\nKnowledge of sheet metal fabrication, tooling, machine setup, and production processes.\n\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.\n\nExperience with nesting software such as SigmaNEST, TruTops, BySoft, or comparable platforms.\n\nExperience programming Amada, Trumpf, Mazak, or similar CNC equipment.\n\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.\n\nAPICS, SME, or other manufacturing-related certifications.\n\nPerformance Expectations\nMaintain a first-pass program approval rate of at least 98%.\n\nOptimize material usage and meet established material yield goals.\n\nImprove machine cycle times and production output.\n\nKeep scrap and rework within established quality limits.\n\nComplete and release programs according to production schedules.\n\nContribute measurable improvements in productivity and manufacturing efficiency.\n\nFollow safety requirements and work toward zero safety incidents or
