Candidates must be able to measure materials accurately, follow fabrication drawings, and safely handle steel using overhead cranes and material-handling systems.\nEquipment Experience\nHands-on experience with at least one of the following machines is required:\nKinetic Plasma Table\n\nPeddinghaus Saw/Drill Line\n\nPeddinghaus Angle Master\n\nFicep Beamline\n\nResponsibilities\nSet machine controls and select the correct operating settings for each production job.\n\nIdentify the required steel type, stock size, and dimensions using job specifications.\n\nMeasure materials and confirm they meet production requirements.\n\nApply or transfer part numbers, markings, and other required information to steel components.\n\nMonitor CNC cutting, drilling, and processing equipment and adjust settings as needed.\n\nPerform routine preventive maintenance and assist with equipment troubleshooting.\n\nMaintain accurate records of production activity and material usage.\n\nMove and position steel safely using overhead cranes, conveyors, and material transfer equipment.\n\nKeep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.\n\nQualifications\nExperience operating CNC plasma tables or steel sawing, drilling, or cutting equipment.\n\nExperience with at least one of the listed machines.\n\nAbility to read blueprints, fabrication symbols, and shop notes preferred.\n\nAbility to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch.\n\nBasic math skills for measurements and material calculations.\n\nExperience with Tekla PowerFab preferred.\n\nAbility to operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment safely.\n\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.\n\nComfortable working in shop environments with hot and cold
