This role involves machine setup, operating programmed equipment, handling steel materials, and checking finished parts for accuracy.\nResponsibilities\nSet up and operate CNC coping and cutting machines to process beams, columns, channels, and other structural steel components.\n\nRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and dimensional specifications.\n\nLoad and unload steel using overhead cranes and forklifts.\n\nPerform programmed coping, cutting, drilling, and related machining operations.\n\nInspect finished components using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.\n\nChange tooling, make basic machine adjustments, and troubleshoot operating issues.\n\nComplete routine machine maintenance and follow production schedules.\n\nMaintain a clean and safe work area while meeting quality standards.\n\nQualifications\nAt least 2 years of CNC machine operation experience.\n\nCNC coping machine or structural steel beam line experience strongly preferred.\n\nStructural steel fabrication experience preferred.\n\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.\n\nExperience with machine setup, tooling changes, and basic CNC troubleshooting.\n\nProficiency with tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.\n\nFamiliarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and steel material handling.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety and product quality.\n\nSchedule and Pay\nThis is a second-shift, contract-to-hire opportunity in York, PA. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour, with higher pay available depending on experience, up to $23.00 per hour.
