This role involves verifying dimensions, reviewing shop drawings, documenting quality issues, and ensuring finished materials meet required specifications and industry standards.\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on experience with steel layout, fabrication, and inspection and is comfortable working in a shop-based manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities\nPerform and document daily inspections of fabricated steel in an AISC-certified facility.\n\nInspect structural steel components for compliance with shop drawings, dimensions, and specifications.\n\nVerify part placement, layout, and dimensional accuracy.\n\nComplete in-process and final quality inspections.\n\nIdentify, document, and follow up on nonconforming materials or workmanship.\n\nSupport annual AISC quality control audits.\n\nWork with production personnel to resolve inspection findings and improve product quality.\n\nFollow established inspection procedures and quality standards, including applicable AWS D1.1 and D1.5 requirements.\n\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\n3-5 years of experience in steel layout and fabrication.\n\nAbility to read and interpret fabrication drawings, construction drawings, and shop prints.\n\nExperience inspecting fabricated structural steel components strongly preferred.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n\nAWS welding certification in D1.1 and/or D1.5 preferred.\n\nPay and Opportunity\nStarting pay of $28/hour, with higher pay available depending on experience.\n\nAdditional $3.00/hour night shift
