This position coordinates production, employees, materials, equipment, quality, and scheduling to keep fabrication work safe, efficient, and on track.\nStructural steel fabrication experience is required. Previous leadership experience overseeing welders and fitters is required.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and support welders, fitters, and other shop personnel throughout the shift.\nCoordinate daily fabrication activities, staffing, materials, equipment, and workflow.\nMonitor production and fabrication schedules and adjust priorities when needed.\nHelp coordinate deliveries and ensure work is completed according to project timelines.\nEstablish and maintain consistent fabrication procedures and shop practices.\nMonitor finished work and maintain required quality-control standards.\nReview production methods and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and employee performance.\nCommunicate with project management, purchasing, logistics, other departments, and fabrication locations regarding schedules, materials, quality, and product status.\nEnsure equipment, tools, facilities, and materials are properly maintained and available.\nMonitor inventory needs and coordinate with management and purchasing.\nMaintain productive relationships with vendors and suppliers.\nBalance workloads across the shop and communicate staffing or production concerns to management.\nDetermine staffing and work-hour needs to meet delivery requirements, including overtime and Saturdays when necessary.\nEnforce company policies, safety procedures, and quality expectations.\nRequired Qualifications\nStructural steel fabrication industry experience - required.\nLeadership experience overseeing welders and fitters - required.\nStrong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes.\nPrevious supervisory, foreman, or shop leadership experience.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nStrong spoken and written English skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.\nAbility to organize people, materials, schedules, and multiple production priorities.\nAbility to work 2nd shift, overtime, and Saturdays as needed.\nStrong commitment to safety, quality, and production standards.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2643,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"high_school","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Professional Services","Audit","Supply Chain"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T04:47:09Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":7,"reasons":["conf:0","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-09-23T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":78000,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/qualdoc-structural-steel-welding-fitting-supervisor-2nd-shift-2","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/qualdoc-structural-steel-welding-fitting-supervisor-2nd-shift-2.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-23T22:15:08Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
