This role delivers reusable platform services, frameworks, APIs, libraries, and tooling while contributing to platform architecture and mentoring fellow engineers.\n\nBuild the Future of Connected Monitoring Platforms\n\nQualitrol's Technology Platform team develops common software and infrastructure capabilities that enable next-generation monitoring, analytics, and asset management solutions for critical electrical infrastructure. Engineers on the Platform team build reusable technologies spanning cloud, edge, embedded Linux, firmware integration, APIs, data services, developer tooling, and AI-enabled engineering workflows. Using a Specification-Driven, AI-Assisted Software Development Lifecycle, engineers collaborate with AI throughout architecture, implementation, testing, documentation, and validation while maintaining full engineering accountability.\n\nMission:\n\nDesign, build, and evolve shared platform capabilities leveraged across multiple products and value streams. Deliver scalable, maintainable, and reusable technologies that reduce duplication, accelerate development, and improve product quality across the organization.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop reusable software services, APIs, SDKs, libraries, and frameworks.\nDefine platform standards, reference architectures, and integration patterns.\nDrive software quality through automated testing, CI/CD, secure development practices, and observability.\nBuild tooling, agents, and workflows that automate engineering processes.\nLead implementation of strategic platform initiatives and mentor engineers in modern software development and AI-native engineering practices.\nImprove developer productivity through automation and AI-assisted engineering.\n\nQualifications:\n6+ years of software engineering experience building platforms, frameworks, shared services, or enterprise applications.\nStrong development experience in C#, Python, C++, Java, or similar languages.\nExperience designing APIs, SDKs, and integration frameworks.\nUnderstanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, event-driven applications, and containerized environments.\nExperience with DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.\nFamiliarity with scalable software architecture and system integration.\nExperience with AI-assisted development tools and engineering workflows preferred.\nExposure to edge-to-cloud architectures, connected devices, and IoT ecosystems is a plus.\n\nWays of Working:\n\nWork within Agile Scrum teams using SAFe 6.0 principles, collaborating with Product Owners, Architects, QA, firmware engineers, cloud engineers, software engineers, and AI agents to deliver secure, scalable, and reusable platform capabilities.\nSkills\nAPI,
