The Maintenance Technician will assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general facility upkeep. This position supports production equipment including glass washers, conveyors, tempering furnaces, cutting equipment, compressors, pumps, motors, and other plant machinery.\nWhy Join Quality Enclosures?\nCompetitive starting pay based on experience\nFull-time, stable employment\nGrowth and pay-increase opportunities as skills and responsibilities develop\nFull benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits\nPaid time off and paid holidays\nPaid birthday day off\n401(k) with company match\nWe are looking for teammates who want to build skills, contribute to the team, and grow with the company over time.\nWhat You Will Do\nPerform routine preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment.\nAssist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.\nSupport repairs on conveyors, motors, bearings, sensors, pumps, fans, and related equipment.\nHelp maintain glass tempering equipment, including furnaces, washers, rollers, and material handling systems.\nRespond to maintenance requests from production teams in a timely and professional manner.\nInspect equipment for wear, damage, or unsafe conditions.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage.\nAssist with equipment installations, adjustments, and basic fabrication as needed.\nFollow lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and all plant safety procedures.\nKeep maintenance areas, tools, and workspaces clean and organized.\nLearn from senior maintenance team members and build technical knowledge over time.\nRequired Qualifications\n1-2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or similar environment.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.\nFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment.\nAbility to read basic instructions, manuals, diagrams, or work orders.\nStrong attention to safety and quality.\nDependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with conveyors, motors, bearings, pumps, or compressors.\nBasic electrical troubleshooting experience.\nFamiliarity with PLCs, sensors, VFDs, or control panels.\nWelding, fabrication, or machining experience.\nPrevious experience in glass manufacturing, tempering, fabrication, or similar production environments.\nForklift, scissor lift, or other equipment certification.\nPhysical Requirements and Work Environment\nWork is performed in an active glass tempering and manufacturing facility.\nRegular exposure to production equipment, moving machinery, glass materials, and industrial tools.\nMay be exposed to heat, noise, dust, vibration, compressed air, and other typical manufacturing conditions.\nMust be able to work safely around glass tempering furnaces, conveyors, washers, motors, pumps, compressors, and material handling equipment.\nMust be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, push, and pull throughout the work shift.\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds as needed.\nMust be able to use hand tools, power tools, meters, and basic maintenance equipment.\nMust be able to climb ladders, work from elevated platforms, and access equipment in tight or awkward spaces when needed.\nMust have sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to perform repairs, adjustments, inspections, and equipment maintenance.\nMust be able to read work orders, safety instructions, equipment labels, and basic maintenance documentation.\nMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, safety shoes, and any other PPE assigned for the task.\nMust follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, hot work, and safe glass-handling practices.\nRegular and reliable attendance is required.\nThis job description includes, but is not limited to, the duties and responsibilities listed above.
