Qualys helps organizations streamline and consolidate their security and compliance solutions in a single platform and build security into digital transformation initiatives for greater agility, better business outcomes, and substantial cost savings.\nWe are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to work on the Qualys Scanner Platform which is Qualys flagship offering.\nWorking with a team of engineers and architects, you will be responsible for prototyping, designing, developing and supporting a highly scalable security platform\nResponsibilities:\n----------------\nAnalyze, design, code, and debug complex security software\nProvide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.\nProvide recommendations for continuous improvement.\nWork alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.\nRequired Skills:\n------------------\nBachelor’s in computer science\n5 years of experience as a hands-on engineer developing software products and solutions for service-oriented deployment in public or private clouds.\n5 years of C/C programming in a Linux environment\nWorking knowledge in Linux Kernel\nDemonstrated skills including design, prototype, development, unit test, performance profiling, etc.\nHands-on with development tools like VIM, Jira, GIT, Nexus, Maven, JIRA\nAgile Development with Scrum\nDesired Skills:\n---------------\nTakes complete ownership of successful delivery of the products components, modules and dependencies assigned\nDemonstrated high quality focus and exposure to Test-Driven Development.\nMust have launched or developed complex software projects with multiple complex features with short release cycles\nExcellent communications skills, both verbal and written\nSelf-directed;
