This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set the roadmap, define what success looks like, and work directly with our web development team and cross-functional stakeholders to execute against it. You've done this before (ideally at another B2B SaaS or Cybersecurity company) and you know what a modern, high-performing website looks like because you've built one.\nKey Responsibilities\nWebsite Strategy & Roadmap: Own the strategic roadmap for Qualys.com, prioritize initiatives based on business impact rather than reactive requests, and defend that roadmap against ad hoc, out-of-cycle asks.\nPerformance & Conversion Ownership: Define the KPIs that matter: conversion rate, engagement, and pipeline contribution. Drive the CRO and testing program using A/B tests and behavioral data to actively improve outcomes, not just report on them.\nPersonalization Strategy: Design and direct the strategy for using behavioral and audience data to serve tailored content and experiences to key segments.\nTechnical Direction: Guide the web development team's priorities and technical approach, translating business goals into a clear execution plan they can build against.\nCross-Functional Leadership: Represent web strategy to marketing, product, sales, and executive stakeholders; resolve competing priorities at the roadmap level rather than case by case.\nGlobal Strategy: Set direction for multi-language support, international SEO, and region-specific experience strategy.\nSecurity & Compliance: Ensure that the website meets all required global standards for compliance and regulation.\nBrand & Experience Standards: Partner with Brand/Creative to ensure the site's direction and user experience reflect the company's positioning and visual identity.\nTeam Leadership: Manage and actively develop the people on the web team by providing hands-on technical and strategic guidance.\nRequirements\n10+ years in digital/web leadership, including 3+ years specifically in a director-level (or equivalent) role owning a corporate website or digital product.\nVerifiable track record of personally leading a website redesign, platform migration, or comparable large-scale initiative end to end.\nDirect experience managing a technical or web development team.\nDemonstrated history of defining and driving KPI/CRO programs with measurable results (be ready to discuss specific outcomes).\nExperience operating cross-functionally with executive-level stakeholders.\nB2B experience required; cybersecurity industry experience strongly preferred.\nTools & Systems\n CMS & Hosting: Modern JavaScript framework experience (Next.js/React strongly preferred), hosted on a CDN/edge platform such as Netlify.\n Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (GA4).\n A/B Testing & Experimentation: Experience with an A/B testing platform (Optimizely, VWO, or similar).\n Behavioral & Session Analytics: Experience with a behavioral/session analytics tool (Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar).\nReporting & BI: Looker Studio or Tableau.\nProject Management: Asana or similar.\n Cookie Consent & Privacy Compliance: Experience with a cookie consent/compliance platform (Cookiebot or similar).","description_format":"text","description_chars":3431,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Cybersecurity","Endpoint Security","Information Security"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-29T06:32:00Z"}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":54,"reasons":["conf:5","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-30T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/qualys-web-director-digital-experience","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/qualys-web-director-digital-experience.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-30T06:20:09Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":4438,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":562,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-01T00:00:00Z"}}}
