Java Software Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develop new Risk applications and enhance existing applications usingJava.
• Work as part of an Agile/Scrum team with colleagues based in Budapest and other international locations.
• Design and develop distributed data processing and calculation solutions for large datasets.
• Write and maintain complex SQL queries and work with large-scale data.
• Contribute to application and data model design.
• Apply DevOps practices and modern software development methodologies.
• Contribute to shaping the technology and tooling landscape of Risk Management.
• Support the introduction of technology solutions that enable more efficient business processes and help meet regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams in an international environment.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Java.
• Solid SQL skills, including the ability to write and understand complex SQL queries.
• Experience in application and data model design.
• Practical experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an international team.
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and concepts.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with large-scale databases.
• Previous experience in Risk Management / Financial Risk.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
