It is an experimental and operational position within a growing hardware platform, with strong laboratory ownership at its core.\nRequirements\nWhat will you do?\nCharacterize fabricated photonic chips\nPerform optical and electrical measurements at die level\nMeasure losses, interferometric behavior, passive components, phase shifters, modulators and related devices\nPrepare and execute structured characterization campaigns\nAnalyze measurement data and assess device performance\n Own characterization activities\nOperate established characterization setups autonomously\nMaintain measurement quality, calibration and traceability\nIdentify experimental issues and troubleshoot measurement setups\nContribute to setup maintenance and incremental upgrades\n Improve qualification workflows\nDevelop Python scripts for measurement automation and data analysis\nImprove measurement efficiency and reproducibility\nContribute to standardized measurement procedures and documentation\nSupport statistical analysis across devices and fabrication batches\n Collaborate across teams\nCompare measurements with simulations\nProvide structured feedback to designers\nSupport device selection before packaging\nWork with packaging and cryogenic activities when required\n--\nHow you'll grow?\n0-3 months:\nOperate under training on existing setups and take ownership of specific measurement benches. Execute reccuring characterization tasks with rigor and autonomy in the lab.\n3-6 months:\nManage recurring characterization of production batches independently. Contribute to improving measurement efficiency and documentation.\n6-12 months:\nParticipate in refining qualification criteria, statistical monitoring, and scalable measurement workflows as production volume increases.\nLonger term:\nGrow toward deeper technical ownership of characterization workflows and increased responsibility within the integrated photonics team as the platform scales.\n--\nWhat we’re looking for?\nMust-have\nDegree in Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or closely related field (Master’s or PhD)\nHands on experience charactererizing integrated photonic components using lasers, fibers, alignement stages and powermeters\nAbility to operate autonomously in optical laboratory environments after training\nStrong experimental rigor and ability to analyze measurement data\nScripting skills for data analysis or measurement automation (Python)\nProfessional English\nImportant (can grow here)\nExperience comparing experimental results with simulation data\nFamiliarity with high-speed measurements of electro-optic phase shifters\nFamiliarity with cryogenic measurements\nExposure to structured or batch-based testing workflows\nBasic understanding of fabrication constraints in integrated photonics\nBonus\nWafer-level measurements\nExperience working with semiconductor foundries\nStatistical analysis applied to yield or performance monitoring\nExposure to detector integration or advanced photonic subsystems\nWhat matters most is laboratory rigor and reliability, enabling structured characterization that supports production-scale integration.\nBenefits\nJoin a growing quantum hardware company and contribute directly to scaling photonic quantum technologies from device characterization to system integration.\nPlay a key role in the characterization and qualification of photonic integrated circuits\nContribute to improving measurement reliability, reproducibility and efficiency as the platform scales\nWork within a multidisciplinary team at the intersection of design, fabrication, packaging and system integration\nCompetitive compensation aligned with your experience and level of responsibility\nCompany savings plan\n100% health coverage (Alan)\nTransport reimbursement or mobility bonus\nSwile meal vouchers\nAccess to Gymlib\nIf your background is slightly different from what is described above but you bring strong experimental experience in integrated photonics, we still encourage you to apply
