Today, as part of Quanta Services, we bring the backing of a Fortune 500 company to projects that still run on the same principles we started with: safety, craftsmanship, and doing right by the people on the crew.\nWe're looking for an Assistant Project Manager I to support the planning, execution, and closeout of high-pressure gas pipeline and facility construction projects across the western U.S. Working under the direction of a Project Manager or APM II, you'll assist with scheduling, cost tracking, DOT documentation, and field coordination on pipeline construction, regulator stations, and maintenance programs. This is a foundational role with a direct path to APM II and Project Manager.\nThis position is office-based in Coalville, UT, with frequent travel to project sites. Some assignments may include extended field rotations.\nProject Focus:\nHigh-pressure gas pipeline construction and maintenance\nRegulator station and facility construction support\nAnomaly dig and gas system maintenance program coordination\nDOT-regulated pipeline documentation and compliance support\nAssociated oil and gas construction projects\nWhat You'll Do\nBoth Levels\nSupport project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.\nAssist with scheduling, cost tracking, documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.\nAttend project meetings, record minutes, and track action items.\nConduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.\nCoordinate internal communications between estimating, field, and management teams.\nAPM I - You'll focus on\nDay-to-day project coordination tasks under direct PM supervision.\nBuilding foundational knowledge of construction sequencing, contracts, and field operations.\nBasic cost tracking, schedule monitoring, and material delivery coordination.\nAPM II - You'll independently lead\nCost forecasting, budget variance analysis, and detailed financial reporting.\nInterpretation of complex construction documents and engineering plans.\nDirect coordination with licensed engineers, regulatory agencies, and clients.\nGuidance and support for APM I staff and project coordinators.\nWhat You'll Bring\nAPM I\nAPM I\n0-3 years in construction, utility project support, or a related field.\nActive enrollment in or completion of a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; comparable field experience accepted.\nInternship or co-op experience in project coordination is a plus.\nFamiliarity with pipeline construction, DOT documentation, or gas utility operations a plus.\nOSHA 10-Hour required or completed within 90 days of hire. Valid driver's license required.\nSpanish language proficiency preferred.\nAPM II APM\n2-5 years of progressive gas pipeline or utility construction experience.\nDemonstrated ability to manage project documentation, cost controls, and client coordination with increasing independence.\nFamiliarity with DOT Part 192/195, PHMSA regulations, OQ documentation, or weld integrity tracking.\nHeavyBid estimating experience or exposure to gas pipeline construction estimating processes.\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or closely related field required.\nOSHA 10-Hour required; OSHA 30 preferred.
