This role partners with field leadership and employees to identify risks, improve safety performance, and maintain compliance with applicable safety standards and company objectives.\nWhat You'll Do\nSafety Program Administration\nAssist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA requirements and other applicable regulations.\nSupport and monitor compliance with NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements.\nSupport the administration and continuous improvement of company safety programs and initiatives.\nMaintain safety records, reports, and documentation to support compliance and operational requirements.\nParticipate in the development and implementation of safety-related improvement initiatives.\nSite Inspections & Risk Management\nConduct regular job-site inspections, audits, and assessments to identify potential hazards and verify compliance with safety standards.\nMonitor workplace conditions and recommend corrective actions to address identified risks.\nAssist with incident, accident, and near-miss investigations to determine root causes and support preventive measures.\nPrepare and maintain investigation reports and related documentation.\nTraining & Safety Awareness\nCollaborate with supervisors, team leads, and employees to promote safe work practices and continuous improvement in workplace safety.\nSupport safety education efforts and reinforce compliance through coaching and communication.\nParticipate in safety committee meetings and contribute to the development of safety awareness programs and initiatives.\nHelp foster a culture of accountability and employee engagement in safety practices.\nEmergency Preparedness & Compliance\nAssist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures.\nSupport and coordinate emergency drills and preparedness activities.\nMonitor the use, availability, and compliance of personal protective equipment (PPE).\nHelp ensure adherence to applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.\nSafety Monitoring & Industry Awareness\nStay informed of changes in safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices.\nSupport the organization in adapting safety programs and procedures to meet evolving requirements.\nProvide recommendations that enhance workplace safety, compliance, and operational effectiveness.\nSupport vehicle safety initiatives and driver qualification programs.\nAdditional duties as assigned. \nWhat You'll Bring\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards.\nStrong ability to identify workplace hazards and recommend effective corrective actions.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.\nAbility to conduct inspections, audits, incident investigations, and safety assessments.\nStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nCommitment to promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nWorking knowledge of NFPA 70E, National Electrical Code (NEC), and electrical construction best practices.\nExperience conducting hazard analyses and reviewing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) or Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).\nDemonstrated Accomplishments\nExperience supporting safety programs and compliance initiatives within a regulated work environment.\nDemonstrated ability to identify hazards, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.\nSuccess maintaining safety records, reports, and compliance documentation.\nExperience conducting workplace inspections, audits, and safety evaluations.\nEffective collaboration with supervisors, employees, and safety committees to improve safety performance.\nSafety certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, or similar credentials are beneficial.\nAbility to effectively communicate and promote safety expectations across diverse teams.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.\nDemonstrated experience in a progressive safety-related role, preferably within the electrical contracting, construction, or related industries.\nExperience supporting safety programs in a union environment preferred.\nPreferred Certifications and Trainings\nBCSP certification(s)\nCHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)\nNFPA 70E\nOSHA 510 or working to OSHA 500\nFirst Aid/CPR/AED\nWhat You'll Get\nWorking Conditions:\nThe majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment, the remainder of the time you will be on construction job sites. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.\nBenefits Overview:\nIME provides an industry-leading comprehensive benefits package.
