This position is responsible for safely operating CDL-regulated vehicles, including dump trucks, vac trailer-mounted units, and other heavy equipment used in utility and pipeline construction projects. As a valued member of a construction crew, this individual will not only transport equipment and materials but will also actively assist with field construction activities to support project completion. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and willing to work alongside crew members in a hands-on utility construction environment.\nLocation: 3340 Roy Orr Blvd, Grand Prairie, TX 75050Schedule: Monday-Friday\nWhat You'll Do\nSafely operate Class A CDL vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.\nTransport equipment, materials, tools, and supplies to and from project sites.\nOperate vac trailer-mounted units, dump trucks, and other CDL-regulated vehicles as required.\nConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs.\nAssist gas construction crews with daily field activities, including excavation support, material handling, cleanup, and other labor tasks.\nLoad, secure, and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently.\nSupport construction activities related to underground gas utility installation, maintenance, and repair projects.\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and project personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.\nPerform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance checks and report deficiencies promptly.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.\nTravel to various job sites throughout the service area as needed.\nWhat You'll Bring\nStrong commitment to safety and compliance.\nAbility to work as part of a team in a physically demanding construction environment.\nExcellent attendance, reliability, and work ethic.\nWillingness to assist with labor and construction-related tasks beyond driving responsibilities.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to adapt to changing job site conditions and project needs.\nJob Qualifications:\nValid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). (No “L” Restriction)\nTanker Endorsement preferred.\nExperience operating dump trucks, vacuum trailers, or other construction-related CDL equipment preferred.\nPrevious experience in utility, pipeline, gas distribution, construction, or heavy civil environments preferred.\nAbility to safely drive and maneuver commercial vehicles in various weather and job site conditions.\nMust be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.\nAbility to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and terrain.\nMust pass all required pre-employment screenings, including DOT drug testing and motor vehicle record review.\nEducational/Certification Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.\nValid Class A CDL with air brakes.
