Discover how your skills and dedication can make a real difference to us.\nAbout this Role\nNorthStar Energy Services is looking for a Document Controller who will be responsible for managing the intake, tracking, revision control, distribution, and retention of project documentation. This role ensures field and project teams have access to the most current approved drawings, specifications, and other controlled documents while maintaining accurate records and a complete audit trail.\nWhat You'll Do\nReceive, review, and register project documents from clients, engineering partners, and other project stakeholders.\nVerify document numbers, revisions, issue status, and completeness before releasing documents to internal or field teams.\nMaintain the master document register, including revision history, issue dates, distribution records, and document status.\nEnsure superseded drawings and documents are properly identified, archived, and removed or replaced in the field.\nDistribute current drawings, specifications, vendor data, and other controlled documents to field teams and project stakeholders.\nMaintain distribution records and confirm receipt of critical document revisions when required.\nOrganize and maintain electronic and physical project files in accordance with company and client standards.\nRespond to document requests and support project teams with document access and retrieval.\nCollect and control as-built documentation and assist with project turnover and closeout packages.\nSupport project audits by providing document histories, revision records, and distribution documentation.\nEstablish document registers, filing structures, and distribution processes for new projects.\nEnsure document control procedures and naming conventions are consistently followed across assigned projects.\nWhat You'll Bring\n2-5 years of document control experience in construction, engineering, or a related project environment.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.\nExperience with document management or construction platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Build/BIM 360, ProjectWise, Aconex, SharePoint, Egnyte, or similar systems.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience maintaining document registers or large data sets.\nWorking knowledge of Bluebeam Revu or similar PDF markup tools.\nAbility to navigate construction drawings and specifications and identify document numbers, revisions, and issue status.\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred\nExperience supporting electric power, transmission and distribution, substation, pipeline, industrial, or heavy civil construction.\nExperience supporting multiple projects simultaneously.\nFamiliarity with RFIs, submittals, change management, as-built documentation, and project closeout requirements.\nWhat You'll Get\nAs a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.\n401(k) with immediate matching and vesting\nFully comprehensive benefits packages; Medical, Dental, VisionYour choice of PPO, HSA, FSA\n\nShort term and long-term benefits\nEmployee discounts on consumer goods\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
