(NYSE: PWR).\nBuild your career at Irby Construction.\nAbout this Role\nA Drilled Shaft Operator at Irby Construction Company provide experienced drilled pier installation for various foundation projects utilizing different types of mounted rigs for drilled shafts from 16 inches to 120 inches. This job posting is for the state of GA.\nWhat You'll Do\nAdheres to all safety regulations and reports any violations to field supervision immediately. \nAttends safety meetings.\nOperates various drilling units and equipment such as skid steer, forklift, front-end loader, backhoe and other miscellaneous equipment safely and effectively.\nOperates all tools required to do each job.\nMaintain equipment and tools to ensure long-lasting use.\nOperates all tools required to do each job.\nOperates drilling unit and equipment, mounted on truck or crawler track, to drill holes for concrete pier and footing foundations.\nOperates excavator mounted rigs.\nRaises and lowers boom to specified angle for drilling. “Make it Safe, Keep it Safe”\nSwings boom, controls hoist drums, raises and lowers drill, hoists drill bit, casing and reinforcement steel into position, and controls rotary table that drives drill into earth.\nRaises drill stem and swings boom to discharge dirt from drill bit.\nObserves type of earth formation penetrated to determine need for lowering casing into hole to seal off water and prevent cave-in of soft formations.\nMentors and trains other foundation employees.\nCompletes and maintains work records, field paperwork and generates reports.\nSupports concrete finishing process when necessary.\nEssential Functions\nMust have knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with drilled pier foundations.\nMust understand productivity and what drives job success.\nAbility to maintain accurate records.\nAbility to instruct and direct the work of unskilled and semi-skilled employees.\nAbility to perform duties and operation of equipment and tools in strict compliance with OSHA.\nKnowledge of machines and equipment including designs, uses, repair and maintenance.\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds.\nMust be willing to travel to different work locations.\nCommunicate verbally (both speaking and hearing) in potentially noisy environments\nMust speak and understand English at a level appropriate to receive and comprehend specialized safety and training instructions in potentially noisy environments.\nWork in remote, difficult to access locations.\nMust be able to work up to 12-hour days; 7 days per week, if necessary\nWhat You'll Bring\n3 Years’ minimum experience in drilled shaft installation\nExperience in Stub Angle, Helical Pile installation preferred\nMust pass background check.\nMust have driving records within company standards.\nAbility to read and understand basic instructions, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.\nWilling and able to perform physically strenuous work in all weather conditions.\nOSHA 10 ETD preferred.\nFirst Aid/CPR preferred.\nCommercial Driver License Class A required\nCrane operating and rigging experience preferred\nMechanical skills with small engine, hydraulic, etc. preferred\nWhat You'll Get\nPaid Vacation \nPaid Holidays\nMedical \nDental \nVision\n401K\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
