This role is responsible for executing advanced design tasks, coordinating multidisciplinary models, and ensuring high-quality, constructible electrical design packages are delivered in support of EPC project execution.\nThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial electrical design, strong 3D modeling and CAD expertise, and the ability to lead design efforts while mentoring junior designers in a fast-paced engineering environment.\nWhat You'll Do\nElectrical Design Leadership\nLead development of electrical design deliverables across large EPC projects.\nPrepare, review, and coordinate:Single-line diagrams (SLDs) \nElectrical plans and layouts \nConduit and cable tray routing drawings \nGrounding and bonding systems \nLighting and power distribution layouts \nEquipment arrangement drawingsProvide design support for systems including: \nMedium and low voltage distribution systems \nMotor control centers (MCCs) and switchgear \nSubstation interface systems \nEmergency and standby power systems \nBalance of Plant (BOP) electrical systemsEnsure all designs are accurate, constructible, and compliant with project requirements and industry standards. \n\n3D Modeling & BIM Coordination\nLead development and coordination of complex electrical 3D models.\nPerform and manage clash detection and resolution activities.\nEnsure integration of vendor equipment models into project designs.\nMaintain BIM model integrity and enforce company and project CAD standards.\nSupport model reviews with engineering and construction teams.\nProject Execution\nIndependently execute electrical design scopes through conceptual design, detailed engineering, and construction phases.\nDevelop material take-offs (MTOs) and quantity estimates.\nSupport preparation of construction packages and design deliverables.\nTrack and manage assigned deliverables to meet project schedules.\nProvide input into design sequencing, planning, and constructability reviews.\nMultidisciplinary Coordination\nCoordinate electrical design activities with civil, structural, mechanical, instrumentation, and construction teams.\nParticipate in interdisciplinary design reviews and coordination meetings.\nIdentify and resolve design conflicts across disciplines\nEnsure full integration of electrical systems within overall facility layouts.\nConstruction & Field Support\nProvide support during construction, startup, and commissioning phases.\nConduct field verification and site visits as required.\nRespond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and resolve field engineering issues.\nUpdate drawings and models based on field conditions and as-built information.\nSupport system energization and commissioning activities.\nQuality & Standards\nEnsure compliance with company drafting standards, engineering procedures, and project requirements.\nPerform quality checks on electrical drawings and models for accuracy and completeness.\nSupport continuous improvement of CAD and BIM workflows.\nMaintain organized and accurate design documentation and records.\nMentorship & Technical Support\nProvide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level electrical designers.\nSupport training and development of design staff.\nShare best practices in electrical design, modeling, and EPC execution.\nAssist engineering leadership with technical problem-solving and design optimization.\nWhat You'll Bring\nEducation & Experience\nAssociate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.\nMinimum 5-8 years of electrical design experience.\nExperience in EPC, power generation, industrial, utility, or infrastructure projects required.\nDemonstrated experience working on multidisciplinary design teams.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of:Electrical drafting and design principles \nPower distribution systems (MV/LV) \nIndustrial electrical layouts and systems integration \nConstruction documentation and fabrication detailingAdvanced proficiency with: \nAutoCAD \nRevit \nNavisworks \nMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience with Plant 3D, BIM coordination workflows, and clash detection tools strongly preferred. \n\nProfessional Skills\nStrong leadership and independent decision-making in design execution.\nExcellent attention to detail and
