This senior-level design position is responsible for independently executing advanced design assignments, coordinating multidisciplinary project efforts, and serving as a technical resource for engineers, designers, and project teams throughout Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project execution.\nThe ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in instrumentation design, industrial control systems, and 3D modeling, with a proven ability to develop complex construction packages and support large-scale industrial and power generation projects\nWhat You'll Do\nAdvanced Instrumentation Design & Development\nIndependently lead the development of instrumentation and control system design deliverables for complex EPC projects.\nPrepare, review, and coordinate:Instrument location plans\nInstrument installation details \nLoop diagrams \nWiring and interconnection diagrams \nJunction box layouts \nInstrument cable schedules \nInstrument indexes and I/O schedules \nControl panel, PLC, and marshalling cabinet layouts \nInstrument raceway and cable routing drawings \nP&ID markups and revisions \nControl system interface drawings \nConstruction work packages \n\nInterpret engineering specifications, vendor documentation, client requirements, and industry standards to develop complete design solutions.\nEnsure instrumentation designs support constructability, operability, maintainability, and safety requirements.\n3D Modeling & Design Coordination\nDevelop and maintain advanced instrumentation models utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and other design platforms.\nLead instrumentation design coordination within 3D models and BIM environments.\nPerform clash detection reviews and coordinate design resolutions with other disciplines.\nSupport development of digital engineering and model-based design deliverables.\nEnsure consistency and compliance with company design standards and project requirements.\nInstrumentation & Control Systems Design\nLead design support for:Pressure, temperature, flow, and level instrumentation \nAnalytical instrumentation systems \nControl valve installations \nInstrument air systems \nPLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI interfaces \nProcess automation systems \nSafety Instrumented Systems (SIS) \nIndustrial communication networks \n\nCoordinate instrumentation layouts with equipment vendors and engineering teams.\nDevelop material take-offs (MTOs), quantity estimates, and procurement support documentation.\nProject Execution Leadership\nLead instrumentation design efforts throughout conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, startup, and commissioning phases.\nSupport project planning, scheduling, and execution activities.\nMonitor assigned deliverables to ensure quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.\nParticipate in project meetings, client reviews, and technical coordination sessions.\nIdentify and communicate design risks, scope changes, and technical challenges.\nMultidisciplinary Coordination\nCoordinate instrumentation design activities with electrical, mechanical, process, civil, structural, architectural, and construction teams.\nLead interdisciplinary design reviews and constructability assessments.\nResolve complex design interface issues and drawing conflicts.\nEnsure instrumentation systems are effectively integrated into overall facility operations and layouts.\nConstruction & Commissioning Support\nConduct field verification activities and site walkdowns.\nSupport construction teams with design clarifications and technical assistance.\nRespond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and field design issues.\nReview field modifications and incorporate as-built changes into project documentation.\nSupport startup and commissioning activities through design reviews and troubleshooting assistance.\nTechnical Leadership & Mentorship\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to Instrumentation Designer I, II, and III personnel.\nReview design deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.\nAssist engineers with design development and constructability reviews.\nSupport training, onboarding, and development of junior team members.\nPromote continuous improvement, innovation, and engineering excellence.\nQuality & Standards\nEnsure compliance with company engineering procedures, drafting standards, and project specifications.\nPerform quality reviews and technical checks of instrumentation design packages.\nMaintain project documentation, revision control, and design records.\nSupport quality assurance and quality control initiatives.\nParticipate in lessons learned and process improvement programs.\nWhat You'll Bring\nEducation & Experience\nAssociate degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or related technical discipline.\nMinimum 8-10 years of instrumentation design experience within industrial, utility, power generation, renewable energy, data center, or EPC environments.\nExtensive experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects.\nExperience with large-scale industrial facilities, power plants, substations, battery storage facilities, or mission-critical infrastructure preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced Knowledge Of:\nIndustrial instrumentation systems and installation practices.\nInstrument loop design and control system interfaces.\nInstrumentation symbols, standards, and drafting conventions.\nPiping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).\nPLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems.\nInstrument cable routing, raceways, and wiring practices.\nIndustrial
