This senior-level position serves as a technical leader within the design organization, providing expertise in instrumentation design, multidisciplinary coordination, and construction package development while supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project execution.\nThe ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in instrumentation and controls design, advanced 3D modeling capabilities, and a strong understanding of industrial automation systems and construction practices.\nWhat You'll Do\nInstrumentation Design Leadership\nLead the development of complex instrumentation and control system design packages for EPC projects. \nPrepare, review, and approve: \nInstrument location plans and installation details \nLoop diagrams \nWiring and interconnection diagrams \nJunction box layouts \nInstrument cable schedules \nInstrument indexes and I/O schedules \nControl panel, marshalling cabinet, and PLC cabinet layouts \nInstrument raceway and cable routing drawings \nP&ID markups and updates \nControl system interface drawings \nConstruction work packages \nInterpret engineering specifications, vendor documentation, client requirements, and industry standards to develop complete and constructible design solutions. \nEnsure instrumentation designs meet operational, safety, maintainability, and constructability requirements. \nAdvanced Design & Modeling\nLead instrumentation design efforts utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, SmartPlant Instrumentation, Aveva Instrumentation, and related software platforms. \nDevelop and coordinate complex instrumentation layouts within 3D models and BIM environments. \nPerform clash detection reviews and coordinate resolution of interdisciplinary conflicts. \nSupport digital engineering initiatives and model-based project delivery. \nEstablish and maintain instrumentation drafting and modeling standards. \nConstruction & Commissioning Support\nConduct field verification activities, site walkdowns, and equipment inspections. \nProvide technical support during construction, startup, and commissioning activities. \nReview and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs). \nSupport troubleshooting and resolution of field design issues. \nReview and incorporate as-built information into final project documentation. \nAssist with startup readiness reviews and turnover documentation. \nMentorship & Technical Development\nMentor Instrumentation Designer I, II, III, and IV personnel. \nProvide technical guidance and training to junior designers and drafters. \nReview design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance. \nSupport onboarding and development of new team members. \nPromote a culture of safety, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. \nWhat You'll Bring\nEducation & Experience\nAssociate degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or related technical discipline preferred. \nMinimum 10+ years of instrumentation design experience in power generation, industrial, utility, renewable energy, data center, or EPC environments. \nExtensive experience supporting large multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects. \nExperience with power plants, battery energy storage facilities, substations, industrial facilities, or mission-critical infrastructure strongly preferred. \nTechnical Skills\nIndustrial instrumentation systems and installation practices. \nInstrument loop design and control system interfaces. \nPLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems. \nInstrument raceway, conduit, and cable routing design. \nIndustrial construction and commissioning practices. \nInstrumentation drafting standards and design methodologies. \nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, SmartPlant or Aveva Instrumentaiton. \nFamiliarity with ISA, NEC, IEEE, Insdustrial Automation and Control System standards. \nEPC Project Execution processes and workflows. \nTravel Requirements\nAbility to travel up to 25% as required for field verification, project meetings, construction support, commissioning activities, and client engagements. \nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods. \nAbility to work in active industrial facilities, power plants, substations, battery storage facilities, data centers, and
