This role combines pipe stress analysis, hydraulic system modeling, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) including airflow and thermal performance modeling for critical environments such as data centers, cleanrooms, and industrial facilities - to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient system operation. Analytical results inform design decisions made across mechanical, process, and controls engineering teams.\nWhat You'll Do\nGeneral\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including mechanical and controls engineers\nPrepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and visualizations summarizing modeling results for internal and client review\nStay current on modeling software, industry standards, and best practices in piping, hydraulic, and airflow/thermal analysis\nPipe Stress & Hydraulic Analysis\nPerform pipe stress analysis and flexibility evaluations using CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, ROHR2, or equivalent software\nPerform hydraulic modeling and flow analysis using PIPE-FLO\nAnalyze pressure drop, flow distribution, control valve performance, pump sizing, and system operating conditions\nEvaluate piping systems for thermal expansion, sustained loads, occasional loads, vibration, wind, and seismic effects\nEvaluate equipment nozzle loads and develop support recommendations\nCFD & Airflow/Thermal Analysis\nBuild and run CFD models to evaluate airflow, temperature distribution, and thermal performance of HVAC systems and building spaces\nAnalyze and validate design assumptions for critical environments (data centers, labs, cleanrooms)\nTranslate CFD results into actionable design recommendations for the engineering team\nSupport commissioning by comparing as-built performance to modeled predictions\nWhat You'll Bring\nWe are actively seeking both early-career engineers with approximately 2+ years of relevant experience and experienced technical leaders with 10+ years of expertise.
