This role involves assisting in project planning, preparing purchase orders and subcontracts, maintaining budgets, tracking invoices, and preparing cost and risk reports. The Project Manager I collaborates with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules. This role plays a key supporting function in executing projects effectively and is foundational to developing into higher levels of project management responsibility.\nWhat You'll Do\nProject Planning and Coordination\nAssist with the creation of project plans and schedules. \nCoordinate subcontractor and vendor resources.\nWork with Project Managers and sub-contractors to establish contracts and coordinate resources and billing. \nAssist with the create of purchase orders and sub-contracts.\nEnsure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements across all projects by team members and subcontractors.\nCoordinate with field leadership, Estimating, Safety, and other departments to ensure the successful completion of projects. \nBudgeting and Cost Control\nAssist with the development of project forecasting for regional construction projects, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.\nHelp establish project budgets, invoicing, revenue and cost accrual, and creation of project timesheets.\nTrack project expenditures and project changes. \nTrack, verify, approve, and code subcontractor and vendor invoicing. \nWork with Accounts Payable and Receivables on monthly revenue and cost accruals.\nAssist with change order pricing and submission.\nMonitor and control indirect costs. \nDocumentation and Reporting\nWork with the team in the preparation of reports, including cost reports and regional financial reports. \nReview and approve internal and external reports including project budgeting, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports.\nAnalyze reports to identify potential and actual risks and make recommendations and decisions. \nOversee and communicate risk registers.\nProject Execution and Management\nSupport Project Managers in all aspects of project execution (scope, schedule, safety, subcontracts).\nHelp ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements across all projects by team members and subcontractors. \nMonitor project progress, identify issues and delays, and communicate those to Project Managers. \nCreate and archive projects in YARDZ - coordinate with Fleet Managers to maintain accuracy.\nAssist with the closeout of completed projects (final invoicing, lessons learned, close-out subcontracts/PO's).\nTeam Leadership and Development\nPerform site visits to meet and collaborate with crews and field leadership. \nWhat You'll Bring\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent knowledge or skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.\n0 to 2 Years of project management experience, preferably in the electrical construction field.\nStrong experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nOrganized with a strong attention to detail.\nAbility to identify and solve issues.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal and customer service skills.\nSelf-motivated.\nGood project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently with good time management.\nAbility to build and foster relationships with team members.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality.\nAbility to conducts self in an appropriate manner as a representative of SEC, working effectively in a diverse work environment.\nWhat You'll Get\nDIRECT REPORTS: None\nLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: None\nSUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: None\nTRAVEL REQUIRED: Moderate\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
