The Safety Coordinator will identify hazards, investigate accidents, and ensure the organization adheres to legal and internal safety requirements.\nPay Range: $90K - $115k, based on experience\n*This position does require travel. And MUST have Electrical Utility experience with Transmission and Distribution*\nWhat You'll Do\nExclusive work on Distribution and Transmission Lines, with some Substation work. \nEnsuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations\nPromote the Zero Accident philosophy\nPerform morning safety briefing covering company-provided content with the ability to assemble relevant content if necessary\nPerform or assist in vehicular incident, near miss, equipment damage and injury investigations\nAssist in post-injury management\nAdminister safety orientation program to acquaint employees with site conditions, safe work practices, policies, and procedures\nMaintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents, and related events\nAttend pre-task meetings\nPerform field audits/observations, develop corrective actions from audit/observation findings and track corrective actions to completion\nCoordinating safety activities with customer, as necessary\nConducting required safety training in support of project needs\nDevelop site-specific safety processes and procedures, as necessary, to support the overall project plan\nParticipate in site safety committees and conduct appropriate meetings\nPromoting business activities and operations that minimize impacts to sensitive environmental resource\nCompleting and filing timely safety reports, as required\nPromoting business activities and operations that minimize impacts to sensitive environmental resources\nEnsure statutes, regulations, and codes are clearly understood and met\nIntervene to stop any acts or processes which are unsafe or do not comply with OHS guidelines\nImplement preventative measures to ensure unsafe processes are not repeated\nEnsure all personnel follow all personal safety precautions (hardhats, protective goggles, etc.)\nAttend customer’s monthly and annual meetings\nAssist with coordination and/or specimen collection for DOT and post-incident drug screens\nAll other duties assigned\nWhat You'll Bring\nAssociated Degree in Occupational Safety and Health minimum preferred\nPrevious experience in transmission and distribution line construction REQUIRED\nTwo (2) years previous experience in comprehensive workplace safety and compliance programs\nSolid knowledge of state and local statutes and ordinances on utility safety and DOT regulations and up to date on latest local and state guideline changes.\nAbility to speak in front of others well to conduct training in groups\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines\nInterpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers\nValid Driver’s License\nAbility to physically stand, bend, squat, and walk through the work day\nSubject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside\nAbility to travel extensively with extended overnight stays\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nSelf-directed, organized, and self-motivated to accomplish goals\nProficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)\nDrug Free Workplace: New employees must submit and successfully pass post-offer drug screening\nWhat You'll Get\nPAR offers a comprehensive benefits package including:\n100% employer-paid health care benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for you and your dependents\n100% employer-paid basic life insurance\n100% employer-paid disability benefits\n401(k) retirement plan with matching contribution\nPaid Time Off (sick and vacation)\nPaid Holidays\nTuition Assistance\nWellness and Mental Health Programs\nLearning and Development Programs\nPAR Electrical Contractors, LLC does not sponsor applicants for work visas.
