With over 700 employees and growing, we have thousands of years of combined electrical utility experience to draw from when committing to provide our clients with a wide range of utility services.\nAbout this Role\nPAR Western Line Contractors, LLC is looking for a Senior Project Manager to provide overall administrative, technical, financial, and resource management of assigned projects from initial bid preparation through completion. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for delivering each project safely, in accordance with quality standards, on time, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager provides work direction and mentoring to assigned Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers and may directly supervise one to two project management personnel.\nWhat You'll Do\nProvide work direction, coaching, and mentoring to assigned Project Managers and Project Coordinators; may directly supervise one to two project management personnel, including participating in hiring, performance evaluation, and corrective action decisions\nWork with safety personnel to ensure that project is being built in accordance with OSHA and company regulations and that proper training is occurring\nResponsible for the financials and contract management of assigned projects.\nWork closely with the Project Management Organization to ensure consistency and adherence to organizational best practices\nWork closely with the construction management to ensure successful delivery of the project\nDefine problems, collect information, and establish facts to provide an appropriate resolution\nLead pre-construction efforts in bid preparation, contract and exhibit review, and execution planning\nBuild and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors\nEnsure electronic and printed project document files are set up, organized, and maintained in the required systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and SharePoint; Primavera P6; EcoSys; QuickBase; B2W; and others\nSchedule and manage subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers\nMonitor support construction through communication with superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget\nAbility to interpret and act on terms and conditions within contracts in consultation with PAR West’s legal team to protect company’s interest while maintaining good relationships\nReview cost reports and evaluate methods to reduce cost while maintaining productivity\nManage budget projection for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors procured on the project\nResponsible for project cost forecasting, monthly cost to complete development, and accuracy of reporting\nResponsible for the invoicing or payment application process and for the accuracy of weekly labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor cost reporting\nResponsible for productivity, efficient use of materials/equipment, and contractual performance of the project\nLead daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings, including monthly project reviews, as required; ensure agendas, minutes, and meeting documents are prepared and distributed\nEnsure all project submittals and requests for information are developed, submitted, tracked, and closed out\nMonitor and manage project scope and develop, negotiate, submit, track, and maintain client and/or subcontractor change orders when necessary, within PAR West’s delegation of authority limits\nWork with Project Controls Specialist or Project Controls Manager to develop project schedules in Project or Primavera\nAssume additional responsibilities as directed by management\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nKnowledge of project management, project controls, estimating, construction, finance, and contract management\nAbility to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize team performance\nThorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and activities\nMaintain a professional appearance with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and to provide positive leadership to motivate personnel\nAbility to apply accounting revenue recognition concepts and operations as needed to examine construction operations\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint)\nFamiliar with Primavera P6, JD Edwards, Hubble, EcoSys, QuickBase, and B2W technology platforms\nEffective communication (oral, written, presentation, listening) and ability to lead meetings\nEffective motivational and supervisory skills\nAbility to organize and prioritize numerous tasks\nAbility to travel and work on project locations, as required\nMust have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR)\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical specifications, financial reports, and legal documents\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nRequired Education and Experience\n4 Year Construction Science, Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or similar related Degree OR Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience\nMinimum of 7 years project or construction management or project controls experience in similar construction\nThorough knowledge of all aspects of project management, project controls, contract management, budgeting, estimating, schedules, negotiations, construction management (technology, equipment, methods), and safety required\nPreferred Education and Experience\nUtility, transmission and distribution, or substation construction project experience\nLICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:\nRequired Licenses/Certifications\nNone\nPreferred Licenses/Certifications\nPMP\nCRIS\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nMay directly supervise a team of Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers;
