(NYSE: PWR).\nBuild your career at Irby Construction.\nAbout this Role\nIrby Construction Company, is one of the nation’s leading electrical contractors, is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage electrical transmission, distribution, substation, and related projects for our Central Regional office based in Richland, Mississippi which performs work throughout the state of Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. This position is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The responsibilities for this role span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management, project planning, contract administration, quality, and safety management while ensuring projects are completed successfully.\nWhat You'll Do\nPrepare project construction schedules\nPrepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to clients\nManage day-to-day activities of assigned projects\nAct as the main point-of-contact on large complex projects\nCoordinate and lead meetings, schedule updates, submit deliverables and address outstanding open items as requested by clients\nPrepare look-ahead documents and weekly, monthly progress reports and related billing information\nReview and monitor job costs versus budgets\nReport regularly to the management team\nHelp prepare and regularly update comprehensive cost estimates for projects as necessary\nPrepare bills of material and other information\nClosely monitor and track all equipment utilization, including owned, leased, and rented vehicles and equipment.\nDevelop work plans and collaborate with construction Superintendent responsible for overseeing the project.\nMonitor work for compliance with schedule, budget, quality, safety, and overall conformance with the contract documents.\nAttend progress meetings, develop status reports, and deliver presentations as required.\nAssist in negotiating with the customer regarding changes to design, construction work scope, and schedules.\nSupport Company’s safety vision and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures; maintain accountability for safety performance of subordinate personnel.\nProject accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking of team expenses, forecasting, job margins and minimizing exposure/risk on projects.\nOversee project field office personnel\nUnderstand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.\nRegular and predictable attendance\nAdditional duties as assigned\nWhat You'll Bring\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience (5+ years’ project management in the construction industry)\n10 years or more of experience in the electrical industry and/or possessing project management experience within transmission, distribution, or substation construction projects is preferred\nKnowledgeable about specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services\nAble to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc. plans and specifications to include blueprints, proposals, and other documents as they relate to electrical work\nProficient with Microsoft Office applications\nExperienced with estimating software tools\nAbility to prepare and or support preparation of construction schedules in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills\nTeam player who is able to successfully work with diverse internal and external partners\nSelf-driven with the ability to stay on-task for extended periods of time\nReliable, experienced, customer-oriented and proven leadership experience.\nAbility to effectively solve problems and conflicts.\nAbility to plan, coordinate, and provide leadership in the execution of complex construction projects and manage a large workforce.\nAbility to delegate and manage multiple operations simultaneously.\nAbility to assess the operational effectiveness of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.\nAbility to analyze and interpret technical information accurately and effectively\nWhat You'll Get\nComprehensive Medical Coverage - Multiple BCBS medical plan options, all with in-network preventive care covered at no cost, the same nationwide provider network, and access to virtual care for primary care, dermatology, general medical needs, and mental health support. \nPrescription Drug Coverage included with all medical plans, plus tools and advocacy support to help manage healthcare costs. \nDental & Vision Coverage - Dental plans with 100% coverage for preventive care and orthodontia options for adults and children, plus vision coverage with annual exams and frame allowances. \nHealth Savings & Flexible Spending Accounts - HSA options with Fidelity, Healthcare FSA, Limited Purpose FSA, and Dependent Care FSA (up to $7,500) to help you save on eligible healthcare and dependent expenses. \n401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match - Immediate eligibility and vesting, with a company match of 100% on the first 3% and 50% on the next 3% (up to 4.5% total match). \nLife & Disability Insurance - Company-paid basic life and AD&D coverage, plus optional supplemental life insurance for employees and dependents.
