Discover how your skills and dedication can make a real difference to us.\nAbout this Role\nSr. Electrical Designer\n(10+ Years Experience)\nNorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role supports EPC and engineering design projects for data centers, oil & gas, and petrochemical clients.\nThe Senior Electrical Designer is responsible for producing high-quality electrical design deliverables from concept development through construction and final as-built documentation. This position works closely with engineers and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure designs are accurate, constructible, and aligned with project requirements.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign & Drafting\nDevelop and locate electrical and instrumentation (I&E) equipment within a 3D model environment using AutoCAD, CADWorx, and Navisworks.\nDesign site-specific power distribution and control systems in accordance with company, client, and industry standards for new or existing facilities.\nInterpret PFDs and P&IDs to define project scope and design requirements.\nPrepare construction-ready drawings including plans, layouts, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and installation details for electrical systems.\nSize cabinets, panelboards, cable tray, and conduit based on project scope, codes, and vendor data.\nDeliverable Management & Coordination\nManage electrical design deliverables across concurrent projects from concept through final as-built drawings.\nApply company standards, municipal requirements, and applicable regulatory codes to all designs.\nPerform independent QA/QC reviews of drawing packages and ensure alignment with structural, civil, and other discipline designs.\nSupport Professional Engineers during the design phase by assisting with standards review, calculations, and permitting requirements.\nReview and respond to RFIs and evaluate third-party vendor drawings for compatibility with intended I&E design.\nSupport field coordination, site verification, and tie-in validation as required.\nWhat You'll Bring\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical or associate degree in drafting, electrical design, or related field preferred\n10+ years of experience as an Electrical Designer supporting industrial, energy, or EPC projects.
