At PAR, we take on the most challenging and complex projects we can find, and we hire people who thrive on hard work and demanding opportunities.\nAbout this Role\nPAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced Sr Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of high-voltage transmission line and substation construction projects.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through closeout while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, cost control, and client satisfaction. You will work closely with field leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver utility infrastructure projects that power communities safely and reliably.\n**Open to candidates with PM type skills with backgrounds in legal, contracts, finance, etc. Willing to train the right candidates. If you are a Project Manager in a like industry, you are also encouraged to apply**\nWhat You'll Do\nLead Project Execution\nManage transmission and substation construction projects from award through final turnover.\nOversee pre-construction planning, scheduling, procurement, construction execution, commissioning, and closeout.\nPartner with Superintendents and field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality construction.\nConduct constructability reviews and assist with estimating and work planning efforts.\nChampion Safety & Compliance\nPromote and enforce PAR Electric’s safety culture and OSHA compliance.\nConduct site visits and participate in safety meetings and reviews.\nEnsure compliance with environmental regulations, contract requirements, and utility standards.\nManage Financial Performance\nDevelop and maintain project budgets, cost forecasts, and productivity tracking.\nMonitor labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.\nReview and approve invoices, change orders, and purchase orders.\nIdentify risks early and implement corrective action plans to protect project margins.\nDrive Schedule & Resource Planning\nDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules using approved scheduling tools.\nCoordinate manpower, equipment, and material deliveries to meet milestones.\nProactively resolve schedule conflicts and field challenges.\nServe as Client Liaison\nAct as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.\nLead project meetings and provide clear status reporting.\nManage scope changes, negotiate change orders, and maintain strong client relationships.\nEnsure Documentation & Quality\nOversee RFIs, submittals, daily reports, change management, and project closeout documentation.\nMaintain accurate reporting in company project management systems.\nEnsure quality control processes are followed throughout construction.\nAll other duties assigned by management. \nWhat You'll Bring\nPreferred Experience & Technical Knowledge (Open to Training Right Candidates)\n8-10+ years of experience in transmission and/or substation construction. \nProven experience managing utility-scale infrastructure projects.\nStrong understanding of high-voltage construction methods, sequencing, and safety requirements.\nExperience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and cross-functional project teams.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical specifications.\nLeadership & Communication Skills\nDemonstrated ability to lead field and office teams effectively.\nStrong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nTools & Systems\nProficiency in construction management and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, or similar systems) preferred.\nStrong reporting and project controls capabilities.\nEducation & Credentials\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).\nValid driver’s license.\nAbility to travel to project sites within surrounding regions as required.\nPMP certification required within 60 days of hire.\nMust be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area.\nWhat You'll Get\nPAR offers a comprehensive benefits package including:\n100% employer-paid health care benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for you and your dependents\n100% employer-paid basic life insurance\n100% employer-paid disability benefits\n401(k) retirement plan with matching contribution\nPaid Time Off (sick and vacation)\nPaid Holidays\nTuition Assistance\nWellness and Mental Health Programs\nLearning and Development Programs\nPAR Electrical Contractors, LLC does not sponsor applicants for work visas.
