You will evaluate new datasets, and utilize our advanced cloud environment to write and maintain Python scripts. You will work directly with the Hong Kong team to process and assess new datasets and take part in developing new tools and infrastructure at Quantbot. \nResponsibilities\nConduct exploratory data analysis on alternative datasets to explore datasets for potentially predictive signals\nPerform statistical analysis including correlation studies, regression analysis, and time-series modeling\nBuild ETL processes to integrate new data sources with existing research infrastructure\nDevelop data quality monitoring tools to detect anomalies and ensure dataset integrity\nOptimize existing scripts for performance and scalability\nBuild internal Python libraries or tools to standardize common analytical workflows across the team\nRequirements\nEnrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science or Data Science related field. Seniors and students in their penultimate year are encouraged to apply.\nAdvanced proficiency in Python.\nExperience with Linux or UNIX environments.\nKnowledge of SQL queries and any relational database systems is preferred. \nFinance knowledge is beneficial but not essential.\nProgram Details\n This 10 to 12-week program runs from June to August, offering training and support with a dedicated mentor.
