We are seeking a Director, FP&A, in our Broomfield, CO, location.
Quantinuum is seeking a Director of FP&A to own revenue planning and the company's long-range plan, and to lead the next generation of our planning architecture. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this leader will partner with Commercial Finance, operational and executive leaders to forecast the top line, build a multi-year plan connected to source systems, and redesign how financial planning and reporting are delivered across the company.
This is a hands-on, leadership-facing role at a newly public company. Your work will inform decisions by the CFO, the executive team, and the Board, and you will shape the tools and data behind them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue and top-line planning. Own the consolidated revenue forecast, including backlog conversion, working with project and delivery leaders on timing and with Commercial Finance on pipeline and bookings. Combine both into a risk-adjusted revenue outlook, explain variances, provide the revenue view and reporting behind the weekly flash, and partner with Investor Relations on guidance.
- Long-range plan. Own the multi-year integrated financial plan (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow) and scenario modeling used for strategic planning, the annual operating plan and Board discussions, including long-term cash runway. Connect long-range assumptions to operating drivers rather than top-down targets.
- Planning architecture. Lead the redesign of our Workday Adaptive Planning environment, including long-range planning functionality and management reporting. Define requirements for integrating CRM (Salesforce), HR (e.g., ChartHop) and demand and capacity data, and for automating revenue and backlog reporting from source systems, delivered in partnership with IT, Accounting, Revenue Operations and implementation partners.
- Management and Board reporting. Design reporting that makes performance easy to read for executives and the Board, with a single source of truth from source system to the boardroom.
- Workforce planning. Own the company headcount and workforce cost plan, connected to HR system data, so hiring plans, budget and forecast stay in sync.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including ownership of a revenue forecast at a technology, hardware or deep-tech company.
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
WE VALUE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- Experience building or rebuilding an FP&A function at a recently public or high-growth company.
- Familiarity with usage- or consumption-based revenue models alongside hardware and contract revenue.
- Adaptive administration or certification; SQL, Python or data-pipeline literacy.
- MBA, CPA or CFA.
- Curiosity about quantum computing and the economics of an emerging industry.
- Hands-on experience building long-range planning functionality in an enterprise planning platform (Workday Adaptive preferred; Anaplan, Oracle EPM or similar considered).
- Track record leading the integration of CRM and/or HRIS data into a planning platform, working with IT and data owners.
- Public-company experience supporting guidance, earnings or Board reporting.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling; ability to explain complex analysis clearly to senior, non-finance leaders.
