We are looking for ambitious leaders who thrive in highly technical environments and are energized by solving complex challenges at the intersection of quantum computing, hardware, software, and advanced research.\nRole Overview\nThe Director of Technical Program Management will lead the execution of Quantinuum's most strategic and technically complex initiatives across quantum hardware, software, product development, research, and commercialization efforts. This role will serve as a key business and technical leader responsible for connect strategy and execution while helping us scale the Japan business more effectively. The role required the individual to operate comfortably across business, technical, customer, and partner environments while bringing the experience and credibility necessary to influence both local and global stakeholders.\nThe ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, exceptional operator, and trusted partner who can drive large-scale cross-functional programs from concept through delivery in a highly innovative and rapidly evolving environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Program Leadership\nSupport a portfolio of complex, mission-critical programs supporting Quantinuum's quantum computing hardware, software, and product development roadmaps.\nPartner with Offering Management to define strategic priorities, execution plans, and measurable business outcomes.\nLead the development of proposal responses in the JP region, coordinating cross-functional teams from initial scoping and submission through execution and delivery.\nHelp define and execute Japan growth strategy\nAlign activities across Sales, CPG, Customer Success, Legal, Technical, and Research teams.\nProvide a stronger local leadership presence for our expanding set of business and customer initiatives\nBuild and strengthen relationships with key customers and partners while coordinating major customer-facing programs\nFacilitate strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis and actionable recommendations.\nCross-Functional Execution\nCoordinate delivery across multidisciplinary teams of, hardware engineers, software developers, product managers, and business stakeholders.\nSupport Offering Management working on key strategic customers, determine engagement methods, and support meetings/reviews.\nIdentify and proactively manage program risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and resource constraints.\nLead program reviews and executive operating mechanisms to provide visibility into progress, issues, and opportunities.\nEnsure organizational alignment around critical deliverables, timelines, and priorities.\nDevelop scalable processes that improve predictability and execution effectiveness.\nTechnical Program Management Excellence\nEstablish KPI frameworks and reporting mechanisms to measure execution health and business impact.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, collaboration, and operational excellence.\nImplement portfolio management processes that support strategic prioritization and resource allocation.\nOrganizational Leadership\nFoster a culture of accountability, transparency, innovation, and continuous learning.\nProvide executive-level communication and stakeholder management across domestic and international teams.\nSupport organizational growth through workforce planning, capability development, and succession planning.\nServe as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on program strategy and execution.\nYou Must Have\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Business, or a related technical discipline.\n12+ years of experience leading complex technical programs within advanced technology, hardware, software, aerospace, semiconductor, cloud, deep-tech, or research-driven environments.\n5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing Technical Program Managers, Project Managers, or related professionals.\nDemonstrated success delivering cross-functional programs involving multiple technical disciplines and executive stakeholders.\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycles, systems engineering, product development, and program management methodologies.\nExperience developing and managing program portfolios with significant organizational impact.\nWe Value\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Business Administration, or a related field.\nExperience working in quantum computing, advanced computing, AI, machine learning, semiconductor technology, aerospace, or other cutting-edge technology sectors.\nStrong technical acumen with the ability to engage effectively with scientists, researchers, and engineering teams.\nExperience implementing scalable governance and operational excellence frameworks.\nPMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean, or related certifications preferred.\nOutstanding communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.\nDemonstrated success operating in fast-paced, highly ambiguous, innovation-driven
