Responsibilities:\nParticipate in a team of physicists, optical, and opto-mechanical engineers supporting the development of commercial and research systems for quantum computing\n\nTest, Assemble, and Develop metasurface components, lenses, micro-optical, and photonic systems in new and novel ways to create, deliver and measure light in our next generation quantum computer systems\n\nLead development and design projects that validate technologies, methods, alignment, and suppliers that leads to production solutions.\n\nYOU MUST HAVE:\nBachelor’s Degree minimum\n\nMinimum 8+ years’ experience (advanced degree inclusive) with optical design of refractive, reflective, diffractive, photonics components and systems.\n\nDue to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status\n\nDue to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.\n\nWE VALUE:\nPh.D. or Masters in Optics, Applied Physics, or a related field\n\nDesigning high NA photonic collection optics\n\nExperience tolerancing and analysis of optical systems\n\nExperience with coherent optics utilizing diffractive optics (DOEs) and/or metasurfaces\n\nExperience with micro-optics, fiber optics, and/or photonic components\n\nExperience with the measurement of optical components and systems\n\nExperience with polarization optical components\n\nExperience debugging and troubleshooting optical and photonic systems\n\nExperience working with wavelengths from UV to Infrared\n\nExperience with optical modeling software (Zemax preferred, Code V, LighTools, FRED)\n\nExperience with CAD software a
