All employees should work at their assigned location; however, this role may offer the opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days per week, with approvals.\nAll applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.\nKey Responsibilities:\nThis role will provide technical leadership and hands-on supplier quality execution for assigned advanced quantum hardware programs within agreed priorities and delegated authority, operating effectively in an environment with limited precedent, incomplete data, and evolving organizational structures. \nServe as a technical lead for supplier quality risk assessment and mitigation, nonconformance and deviation review, corrective action verification and closure, and supplier qualification or disqualification recommendations based on quality performance. Make decisions within delegated authority and obtain required quality, engineering, and business approvals. Escalate unresolved risks or decisions beyond delegated authority to senior leadership with clear, data-driven recommendations and business impact assessments.\nLead the development, implementation, and improvement of Supplier Quality Engineering processes across assigned production and R&D programs, establishing procedures, tools, and metrics aligned with the broader quality strategy from early R&D through production and sustainment. Lead end-to-end supplier qualification, audit, and performance management activities for advanced high-reliability hardware, including critical audits, investigations, corrective actions, and KPI reporting. Drive continuous improvement in supplier capability, process maturity, and consistent performance.\nOperate independently to resolve complex supplier quality issues, assess impacts to product integrity, delivery, and cost, and escalate significant risks and trade-offs. Serve as the day-to-day technical lead for supplier quality activities, coordinating priorities and mentoring colleagues.\nPartner cross-functionally to embed supplier quality early in product and supplier lifecycle decisions, balancing quality, delivery, cost, and technical risk.\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%\nYOU MUST HAVE:\nBachelor’s Degree Minimum\n8+ years of relevant experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or manufacturing, preferably in a technological environment\nDue to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status\nDue to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.\nWE VALUE:\nBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field\nHigh bias for action with creative problem-solving skills\nDesire to work in a fast-paced, engaging and rewarding environment\nAbility to work within an environment of change and uncertainty\nAbility to work to understand the requirements of diverse team members\nProactive engagement with stakeholders and suppliers\nProject management experience\nExperience working in global or cross-cultural teams\nExperience managing multiple projects in a dynamic global environment\nProven experience with R&D, technical manufacturing/business environment\nDemonstrated business and financial acumen\nStrong supplier-facing experience and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience leading cross-functional supplier quality improvement efforts\nExperience with supplier corrective action management\nAbility to interpret technical documents, contracts, and regulatory documents\nProven analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios, communicate recommendations clearly, manage stakeholders, collaborate cross-functionally, and effectively present to senior leadership\nStrong technical experience in at least one of the following categories: optics and optical components; mechanical components and assemblies; electrical/electronic components and systems; and/or laser sources and laser systems.
