metasurface and diffractive photonics components and systems.\nDue to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status\nDue to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.\nWE VALUE:\nPh.D. (in Optics, Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field)\nExperience with photonic simulation tools such as FDTD (Lumerical, tidy3D, etc.), FEM, RCWA, etc.\nExperience with scientific coding, data analysis and visualization, and commonly used software such as Python and Matlab\nExperience with computational methods for inverse design and optimization\nExperience with high performance computing\nExperience with or knowledge of optical systems and principles, and optical testing of photonic devices\nExperience with or knowledge of nanofabrication of metasurface and diffractive optics\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, record of published results within field of research\nAbility to communicate clearly and effectively and to facilitate the exchange of key details and concepts between team members of diverse technical experience\nAbility to work within a high-performing team and contribute to larger team and organizational
