technical support across all our sales and consultancy opportunities.\nActing as both a leader and industry expert, the Senior Director develops technical talent, establishes standards and ways of working, oversees the customer solutions portfolio, and serves as an executive technical advisor for strategic customer opportunities.\nKey Responsibilities:\nFunctional Leadership\nLead and develop the Solutions Architecture and Technical Sales Solutions Specialist teams.\n\nDefine the vision, strategy, operating model, and priorities for the Technical Solutions function.\n\nEstablish technical standards, governance, methodologies, and best practices across both teams.\n\nBuild a high-performing organization through coaching, succession planning, capability development, and talent management.\n\nCreate clear career pathways and professional development opportunities for technical talent.\n\nCustomer & Commercial Partnership\nPartner closely with Commercial leadership to support pipeline growth, account strategy, and opportunity qualification.\n\nEnsure effective deployment of Solutions Architects and Technical Sales Specialists across strategic opportunities.\n\nServe as executive technical sponsor for key customers and major commercial pursuits.\n\nEnsure customer challenges are translated into technically credible and commercially valuable quantum solutions.\n\nOversee technical input into proposals, solution designs, project scopes, customer presentations, and technical demonstrations.\n\nPortfolio & Delivery Oversight\nManage the portfolio of customer opportunities, projects, and technical engagements.\n\nOversee resource planning, utilization, capacity management, and prioritization across both teams.\n\nMonitor delivery risks, technical quality, and customer outcomes across the solutions portfolio.\n\nEnsure consistent execution and technical excellence throughout customer engagements.\n\nIndustry & Technical Leadership\nAct as the senior technical authority for a designated industry vertical or strategic domain.\n\nHelp customers identify high-value quantum use cases and shape collaborative projects aligned with Quantinuum's capabilities and research strengths.\n\nMaintain deep expertise in quantum technologies, algorithms, industry applications, and emerging market trends.\n\nRepresent Quantinuum with senior customer, partner, industry, and academic stakeholders.\n\nCross-Functional Influence\nBuild strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, Scientific, Research, and Commercial teams.\n\nProvide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence product, engineering, and research investment priorities.\n\nMaintain and evolve a catalogue of industry-relevant use cases to support customer engagement and future roadmap planning.\n\nEnsure customer and market insights are incorporated into future product and research strategies.\n\nMust Have:\nMaster's degree in Quantum Computing, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n\n12+ years of experience in industrial research programs, technical solutions, solution architecture, solutions engineering, applied research, or related technical leadership roles within either finance or pharmaceuticals.\n\nSignificant experience leading customer-facing technical teams.\n\nDemonstrated success leading managers and technical specialists across multiple disciplines.\n\nExperience managing complex customer engagements, technical programs, or applied research initiatives.\n\nStrong commercial acumen and ability to partner effectively with sales organizations.\n\nProven ability to translate complex technical capabilities into customer value and business outcomes.\n\nExceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nExperience operating within a global, matrixed organization.\n\nWe Value:\nPhD in a relevant STEM discipline.\n\nDeep expertise in quantum computing, optimization, AI, or other emerging technologies.\n\nExperience in financial services, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and materials, manufacturing,
