We are seeking an experienced Looker Developer with deep hands-on expertise in LookML modeling, semantic layer governance, dashboard development, and a strong understanding of GCP data warehouses such as BigQuery. You will partner closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain LookML models, including views, explores, joins, and reusable semantic components.\n\nCreate governed, scalable data models aligned with KPI definitions and business rules.\n\nImplement dimensions, measures, calculations, and LookML parameters following best practices.\n\nOptimize explores for performance, usability, and governed access.\n\nBuild clean, intuitive dashboards and visualizations tailored to business users.\n\nImplement filters, drill paths, conditional logic, and other interactive analytics features.\n\nEnsure consistent design patterns and high performance across all reports.\n\nImprove Looker performance through LookML optimizations, caching strategies, and BigQuery SQL tuning.\n\nConduct data validation, reconciliations, and regression checks to ensure accuracy.\n\nTroubleshoot issues related to dashboards, explores, user permissions, and scheduled reports.\n\nEstablish and maintain Looker governance standards, including naming conventions, folder structure, and semantic consistency.\n\nImplement secure role-based access controls using Looker permissions, model sets, and user attributes.\n\nMaintain documentation for LookML projects, datasets, KPIs, joins, and business logic.\n\nEnsure compliance with data privacy and security guidelines.\n\nWork closely with data engineers, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to align modeling with data pipelines.\n\nPartner with business teams to gather requirements, refine metrics, and design analytical solutions.\n\nRequirements:\n6+ years of experience as a Looker Developer or in a BI/analytics development role.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience.\n\nStrong Hands-on experience with Looker modeling, dashboarding, user attributes, and role-based access control\n\nProficiency with BigQuery SQL, including analytical functions, performance tuning, and working with large datasets.\n\nFamiliarity with GCP data ecosystem (BigQuery, GCS, Dataform).\n\nExperience with Git for version control in Looker projects.\n\nStrong understanding of dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and BI best practices.\n\nExperience with Looker Conversational Analytics API.
